Like others said. Default the Bios settings and just enable XMP. Check YouTube or a guide if you don't know how, it should be easy to find in Bios though.

Who was the 1600 RTX series aimed for? Checked comparison and its similar or worse than my 1070.

When do the xx70 models usally drop on the market after the initial relase? I'm thinking the 3080+ will be too much cash. 700 bucks is my limit, no way I'm shelling out more cash for a few more %'s. The used market seems quite pricey as well if I look for high end cards right now.

I bought a similar cheap one for the two 24" I had and got 3 different bases (foot, clamp and one you needed to drill). Was unexpected. Yours looks like a good solution the day i miss the second screen. But it will be a while, I'm broke now!

Maybe it is a GPU issue as well. The ones I saw had that issue had 1080ti's. But I have no clue. 144hz works fine for me with the 1070. Hopefully the new GPU will work fine as well when I upgrade later this year

The only black screen issues I got was when I played Horizon zero dawn. 3 or 4 times in the period of 8hours the screen went black for a second then back to normal. I can see some flickering on loading screens though.

Crashed to desktop'ed my way through the story and did the last mission today. Enjoyed it a lot besides the crashing and lowish performance. Started the Frozen Wild but think I might wait for a fix until I continue. So damn annoying being set back when the game fucks up and throw you to the desktop.

Yea I enabled G sync as well. But I don't know what it even does as this is my first monitor to "unofficially" support it. I thinknI read about the black flickers due to low fps but I'm not sure.

Yea I set overdrive to medium I think. As recommended by some youtuber. Other than that I just touched brightness to max.

I got maybe one such flicker when i ran HZD benchmark, but not while playing.

Yea I only used Ultimate to see the diference from my 1080p benchmark. Will check that guide, turning down to Original quality and its 50-60is fps. 40-50fps when playing with the custom setting. Eagerly waiting for the new GPUs to come out though.

Thanks for the tip! Prices are really fucked in Europaland, that monitor is 170bucks more over here. Will keep an eye out for some sale on it during the holidays/black friday.

Ran a benchmark on mine as well.

Crashed for me as well after I found the first audio log in the cave. I did however have old drivers, updated them and got through the cave. Hovering around 60 fps with a few dips to 50 when I run at Ultra and 1080p. Ryzen 3700x with a 1070GTX.

Use 2 and 4 if you have 2 sticks. Usally bette performance then. But im no expert. Just 99% of what I've seen they put them in 2 and 4. Also remember XMP on in bios. Almost forgot that myself.

Are you sure you put the ram in the correct slots? They usally go into slot 2 and 4. But depends o the motherboard also. :)

Seem to be in stock in europaland at least. I got the 240 model due to my Fractal Design Mini C case. Fit perfect at the front in that case.
