    With respect to @qwerty, @tiled and etc. I think SOE needs to make a true successor to EQ. Call it EQ3. EQNext is really LOL the MMO meets Minecraft. Which isn't a bad idea at all, and looks pretty fun. It will scratch the roleplaying itch but I don't know if it will scratch the AD&D itch...

    Normal warrior asskicked by casters mob or pc but can kill rock golems. Magebane loadout kills casters but roflstomped by rock golem.

    Limitations on mix and match based on base class abilities. If hypothetical Brawler class has 4 offense abilities you can not slot utility, defense, or movement from anyone.

    More than 4 character abilities per class, much less than 40 character abilities for class (many more classes than any one class' abilities). Is the current official answer unless there was clarification somewhere else.

    There is player building in EQN. Landmark templates can be imported in to EQN by players once they have an "area in EQN" whatever that Georgeson comment meant.

    did not get this vibe at all but will try and confirm at class panel. Seemed more than 4 abilities per class and it was a pita to get them all. You could only slot 4. Gear seems to be passives except for procs like the boots from the example. Not sure though. I will try and ask.

    All I know from dev speak is that there are four types of abilities (Utility, Movement, ?, ?) and that some classes do not have specific abilities (Warriors have no utility abilities) and that you get different abilities based on gear. So I have no clue. Hopefully more tomorrow at the class...

    40 to start, they will add additional classes (confirmed). Seemed likely that some classes will be relatively rare.

    Nope. Devs are not talking beyond the Georgeson quote earlier - up to marketing, lots of ways. no date set, not even a hint of a date.

    Devs had no problem with Anakin Skywalker scenario totally switching from one to other due to whatever. Only issue was simultaneous SK/P abilities on the hotbar. But again, Talisker was specific that it wasn't decided.

    Generally you can do it - Talisker said the are thinking of a few specific very limited limitations such as Paladin/SK abilities not being allowed. Stuff that is totally opposite. Not decided but IMHO he didn't seem to like the idea of having both P/SK abilities at the same time.
