Finished up book one a bit ago. It wasn't amazing but it was solid. It also killed my interest in the show stone dead. I started book 2 and so far I'm interested in the kind of story it's telling.
I've seen I think one formal gear check ever and even then it was "hey, at Sky today we were checking out people's gear and a few of you got tells. You shouldn't have empty slots at this point so take care of it before we're up here again." Everyone must have went and put on some stuff that said...
With casters there's not always anything all that amazing in a particular slot pre-raid but with tanks AC is their best stat. Empty slot versus bronze and dudes are choosing to save the cash knowing they'll be splitting Nagafen later in the day.
One split eating dirt is a thing that happens. It doesn't automatically indicate they were set up poorly. If the winner/loser dynamic persists than that'll indicate they're some bias going in to dividing up the force.
There's also typically some Necromancers putting that entire fucking maze to the sword in search of hat quest items so it naturally churns pretty fast.
I can't remember if he's tagged as rare but now he can spawn anywhere in the little maze before the big room so it's typically not a giant mess to get a prod.
In Kunark we're going to have people running around with every single beneficial spell in the game blocked far taunting key mobs. If I was out by myself at Rotting Skeleton I'd block everything. Anyone playing right probably needs a hotbar of blocking technology.
I'm sure there's some fancy things to be done by having a group of pullers outside of the raid using /yell as a splitting mechanism but Classic is not an era that requires anything like that. Trash skips in open world VT should be super easy? You drop everyone from the raid and make one group of...
If open world continues to be a thing we're going to see the meta advance to pullers having a row of key binds that block every single beneficial spell and then be blocking/clearing the blocks as they pull, get healed and get rebuffed. Even then you're still going to have to actually tank the...
In general it's fine. You can't really get trained and it's nice knowing that some boxer can't take anything you got the first hit on but I find it very frustrating not being able to provide help casually.
Phara Dar splits are going to pay out pretty big. You don't have to clear much trash or do many dragons and she herself is a big loot cow. If we don't see guilds working to get extra PD kills I can't see anyone putting in the work for extra Vulaks.
It's early and I expect to be wrong but the value of instance lockouts set to character instead of account seems really, really low at least in eras that have full open world content.
I've never done such a thing nor can I imagine anyone in the real world giving a single thin fart about elf simulators and the trolling that takes place on them. Compared to the shit people have heard their kids, grand kids, nieces and nephews scream in to their XBox headsets EverQuest is a 0.0...
The image itself was better than coming back 15 minutes later and adding a superfluous paragraph. What it looks like is you're mashing refresh and when there's no interaction quick enough you add shit to the last thing you posted. You've hopping between what? Your guild's discord, your personal...
The server would have been so much cooler if Zaide, Atabishi and Mabbu were running guilds on it rather than arguing here. Is this all being done in anticipation of the 25th anniversary? Let's hope.
Let's. Hope.
Agnarr was faster than Coirnav and Phinny but slower than Ragefire and Lockjaw which were slow than Sleeper and Combine. Going forward Agnarr became the standard.
Take a drink every time someone says something completely and utterly wrong but does so with unshakeable confidence.
What's going to cause me to completely freak out are all the people rolling on shit for their Nth alt. I get wanting all the best gear but people are being selfish pigs over...
