I'm basically in agreement with you. I think 600 happens after two more years. He's at 525 already. 75 in the next two is averaging below 40 a year. But after that, he's got to fall off at some point, it's going to happen. If he plays 8 more years, I think he almost certainly hits 700. If...

I think Stamkos would be a threat to hit 60+ (or would have been a couple of years ago), and guys like Sid, Benn, and Tarasenko would be threats for 50 goals a lot more as well if they were all playing in that era. I just think the fact he's done it 7 times in this era is roughly on par with...

Obviously it's a good move for Denver. It's just not a bad one for the Jets in the very short/immediate term, given the sudden hole at the position. He was never going to bring back a lot, but I think the return was decent and you move that money

Their possession numbers actually look extremely good most likely over their last 10-15 games. But again, a lot of those models are based on results of the last ~25 games or so, which the Caps have had nothing to play for over the majority of that span and have seen a predictable dip in their...

Can't help but love seeing them grind out wins like they have too. Keeping clean sheets and always finding a way to squeeze out a goal, although Vardy did make it 2-0 very late today, it's just their year.

So Clady to the Jets? Heard they're sending a 5th to Denver but getting a 7th in return as well as Clady. Old and coming off injury, but given what they gave up, not a terrible fill in move I suppose.

Is it really that bad though? Everyone was bitching earlier in the season about the Pacific, and divisions having a team miss out over the #3 team in a weak division...but the top 8 teams in both conferences are the ones that are going to be in the playoffs. I actually really like the...

So the Isles and Philly play tomorrow, and oddly enough, Philly has nothing on the line (other than pride I guess?). They're already locked into WC2 and will face the Capitals. Isles and Rags can still flip spots if the Isles win tomorrow (any win, 2 points leapfrogs them over the Rangers)...

It was nice we left him the entire ice. Good lord our #3 D pairing (Schmidt, Orlov) was horrific tonight. Nice to comeback I guess, but OT seemed to follow a trend for us in 3 on 3 lately, generate some chances that we do nothing with, give up one big chance and it ends up in the back of the net.

It affects it, certainly. Haven't done the math on how much Holtby is helped out by it. If we gave him as many starts as last year, he'd probably be right around the number without the extra help from current OT/shootout rules.

As a Rags fan, I find it weird you would be rooting against Holtby breaking Marty's record. Guy kind of deserves it, especially when you look at the Games Played for Marty and everyone else on the top 5 wins in a season list. Everyone else is north of 70 games, Holtby likely to top out at 66.

Straight up, Kaepernick is better than Peyton's corpse that played most of last year. If he can find his game again, everyone knows his ceiling could still be pretty high. They wouldn't need an all world D if their offense did more. I'm not expecting them to contend for another 5 years...
