I can agree, and it might not just be all him doing the plotting. I just wonder why the show seems to be trying to push him as a player even more so than the books did. The scene with Varys calling him the most dangerous man in the 7 Kingdoms was a big warning sign.

LF also was pretty much pushing Ned every which way however he wanted while he was Hand of the King. I think it's less luck and more a clear understanding of where the families stood and what would happen if you pushed the right buttons.

I still think it's Quick, even with Game 2. Crawford and Rask have played very well though.

All of it makes me think Littlefinger has calculated every single step, with Varys taking full advantage while having his Targ heirs hidden away ready to swoop in. How Melisandre and Lord of Light play into all of it I'm not sure yet.

A bit of both maybe. B's are moving the puck well at times to expose the Pens, but it's been shitty D on Pens part as well. Rask has made some solid saves too to prevent the Pens getting any momentum.

Game isn't over yet obviously, but if score holds and you had told me through 2 games in each series that Rask would have the fewest goals against of the 4 goalies, I would never have believed you. Edit: Damn Sid and Geno combined -6 in the series.

Catelyn did go to talk to Renly and Stannis, and it wasn't like Robb wanted to be more than King in the North. Stannis was as rigid as Ned though, and no matter what would not have supported splitting up the 7 Kingdoms like that since he feels he is the rightful king given Joffery's parentage...

I agree that's the biggest issue Grimm, but being able to put the match ups they want against Sid and Geno even more easily isn't going to help the Pens. B's will be tough at home. Sid did get clipped up high. Some embellishment, but hell near his jaw like that I'd go down quick too.

That goal at the end of the 1st could have been a momentum builder, but they let the B's regain the 3 goal lead not even 30 seconds later. I'll never doubt their ability to come back in a series with the players they have, but assuming no miracle 3rd, going to be tough needing to win at least 2...

The war for the Iron Throne is still going on. You still have Stannis brooding and plotting with Melisandre, and Dany building her army to retake what she considers her throne. I guess you could argue Dany is far away and Stannis has already been defeated once, but neither are out of the picture.
