I agree somewhat. The "come back better prepared" will work til the really late game bosses, I think, but for those late game bosses you're expected to be fully kitted out, so "gitgud" will apply. There is an item which allow instant res during a boss fight that negates having to restart from...

Eh, maybe? For BDO, it would depend on class by class and whether you would need to focus on survival or not. For CD, there seems to be Trash Combat and Boss Combat, very different difficulty scaling going on.

I've watched several reviews now, they all comment on controls (usually Controller pov), puzzles and mostly small annoying bugs. FightingCowboy rambles on about a lot of stuff here:

Literally AI Slop! /s That Grace image is really close to what you'd see where someone use some AI image generator to recreate her, very odd. Most of the other stuff shown off does indeed look like changes to actual lighting, which looks amazing.

Here is a video going over every Skill that Kliff can get. Also, you can earn the "abyss point" things by killing stuff, so just grind stuff to get all the skills. I had thought the points where going to be ground items that you'd have to find. Whew.

I have no idea, but my guesses: 1 - Yes. 2 - I think you can look at Umbral Monument as a game mode which could see the fights change up so they can refresh the Challenges. Or its just error with their UI.

I never played Arknights. I had heard of it, and the couple of streams I watched of it was just someone playing a tower defense type game... which I had no interest in playing.

If the game wasn't an extraction shooter, and if the lego-esque aesthetic wasn't so strong, I'd play it. As I said before, if the game was like Witchfire (everyone show play it, btw), I'd be playing.

Here is a reddit thread that has the control keybinds for Controller / KB+M. If I can use QWSE instead of WASD, and if I can use 1 2 3 for other stuff, and then swap R for F, I think I'll be good to go.

The only Dev that I know is Kim Hyung Tae, first as an artist and then as a dev/CEO of Shift Up Studio (Stellar Blade). If I've heard of some western dev, it probably because they are an ass.

The combat control scheme in BDO is a bit more refined, imo. I'd prefer using a controller in this game, but it looks kinda wonky. I did try BDO. on PS5 and it's setup wasn't that great. There is an image of the KB/M setup for CD posted in its subreddit, and it should be ok as long as everything...

Difficulty will be fine since you can gear up to smash stuff. The real difficulty will be adjusting to the control scheme and finding a way to fight that you feel comfortable with. I am 99% sure there is enough to find in the the starter area that will allow you smoke every boss.

Really like? In the genre? Or just in EF? In the genre, none really as it is mostly Genshin Impact flowery dress shit. In that vein, I would say I "like" characters like Jean / Eula from Genshin Impact. In EF itself, none really. Passable characters would be Perlica, Chen, Arclight, Snowshine...

Most characters in EF look like shit. Way over designed.

There best port to PC has been Stellar Blade, the exact opposite of their 1st party games, so in order protect those DEI infested studios, they will no longer port their games to PC (can't have them look worse compared to Stellar Blade).
