False. Windows does NOT default all monitors to the slowest monitor's refresh rate. I have a 144 Hz for my center/gaming monitor and three monitors at 60 Hz.

I hear you. It can be a pretty daunting/scary task but with the 6P it is pretty f'n easy. Hard to brick the thing. XDA has a very good write-up on how to root a stock install, seehere.

If you root the phone, I'd highly recommend gettingFiSwitch. It allows you to force switch between the carriers easily. Comes in handy sometimes.
