Well they clearly lose money on any shipping since it's free on preorders. I just mean from a logistical standpoint, having something overnighted is often more than double 2day. I'm talking cost to Amazon, not what they show as "our" cost to ship. Hodj, hey that works for me!

The difference in cost between 2day and overnight is pretty astronomical. I can't imagine Amazon wasting money if they don't have to, but I agree that they can definitely be cray cray.

So has anyone's Amazon pre-order of the console changed status from "Not yet shipped"? They should be shipping out today, but still no "Shipping soon" status.

It's not even close to the same shit technology from the 80's though. I just watched Pacific Rim in 3D at my brother's house on his 125" HD projector and it was pretty damn awesome.

I got the AC4 one, but nothing for Killzone. What is the Killzone one for?

I stayed there the last two times I visited(last year and the year before) and I love it. Before that, I stayed at the Mirage, which is also pretty nice but I prefer the Venetian by a large margin. The amount of shops and restaurants all within the Venetian/Palazzo is awesome.

Emulators is a good point. Up until this point, the challenge was emulating the console's often unique architecture to work with a x86 processor. With the consoles being so similar to PC now, I wonder if we'll see actual current-gen emulation on PC's. That would be kind of hilarious.

I didn't get the code until KZ was in "shipping soon" status, which is too late to cancel the order.

Yeah, I had KZ on order and received a unique code for the B1G1, so that's probably what it is.

Need For Speed was one of the games available on the promotion when I did it.

I already had KZ on order and got the email about an hour ago with the BOGO code that I used to buy Knack and AC4 for 60 bucks. I can't guarantee they will send a code for a game ordered today, but it's still pre-ordering, so I would imagine it does.

If you buy a game, you then get the code sent to you. They aren't going to send you a code unless you purchase one game. I ended up getting KZ, Knack and AC4.
