The fat PS3's are the best due to still having backwards compatibility. I have a fat 80 gig that came with Motostorm. I still break out random PS1 disc games to play on it when I'm completely bored.

The box comes with a shit load of packaging, so your ps1 "should" be safe. Maybe not if something hits the bottom of it, though. Yeah, they probably should have floated the console in the middle.

The code says that you need to redeem it on PS4. It's the first time I've seen it specifically say PS4 and not just playstation store. So that's probably why it hasn't worked yet.

Nope. From past experiences with UPS, they HAVE to attempt to deliver a package at least once. If it doesn't work, THEN and only then are you able to pick up from the shipping depot.
