Definitely has the EQ / Vanguard vibe. And you can tell they are making progress. But I agree with many of the complaints here, alpha or not, the game still needs a lot of work.

Depends on what you are looking for. GW2 WvW, as messed up as it is, is still the best RvR around imo. That is largely because they are pretty much the only RvR game in town but they also have incredible tech (the game plays very fast even with tons of players nuking each other), etc. WvW's...

Big cash infusion from some of the original investors of DAoC. Says it doesn't change the game mode in any way, but now they can hire a ton of people and supposedly the game will now come out "sooner". Good for them, I can see why they are excited. But we're still waiting on beta.

Mobile games are the new holy grail. Just looking at NCSoft's quarterlies was a huge eye opener for me. Lineage M is destroying it. And NCSoft has recently stated they are going to put more focus on mobile. Other gaming companies are doing the same. That doesn't mean mmo's for pcs are dead but...

Don't know about the PS4 version, but the PC version is very nice graphically. And compares very well to PC FFXIV. But as I said they are different styles. Some people will prefer one style over the other. It's subjective. And imo Black Desert beats them both graphically. Wish that game was...

That's a subjective evaluation. I like FFIV's graphics as much as Teso's, but they are very different styles. I get that you can't move on from your early lambasting of this game. Time to get over it.

I agree with a lot of the issues brought up here. But personally my main problem with mmorpg's is being forced to sort though all the crap you accumulate over the course of the game. By the time I get to the end game I have so much junk in my bank that it becomes overwhelming and tedious to sort...

This. I prefer PvP that doesn't focus on levels and gear so much. Skill should always have a chance to prevail. Which eliminates most MMOs unfortunately.
