How are you guys doing some of the more asinine penances? I don't even know what a "corruptor" is much less where it's eye is to throw the ogryn grenade at it, nor have I ever seen mobs thick enough to approach 100 for a charge etc.

Removing curse scaling on bosses changes the entire landscape of bossing viability. What a wild fuckin change. Sirus might even be manageable with a big temp chains + chill. Any random elemental build can gain like 50% more damage by annointing an extra curse for ele weakness+their chosen...

Veteran in general is beyond OP. Bolter + power sword is like 3 characters worth of damage.

Trappers need to be changed. New gear stuff is at least a step in the right direction, but I'm really confused why they are piecemealing these systems out like this? The shop that it launched with was pathetic and a complete turnoff from the game.

Yea the death march is at least tolerable here. I just bought 300 revive stones and sent the same group of 7 recruits out with aggressive AI to chain res each other. Only took maybe 45m while I was watching TV. The class rebalance is pretty nice all around. Most weapons are at least viable now...

Turns out you definitely have to death march still to recruit Cressida in this remake which is pretty unfortunate. Good news is the process for getting the Deneb witch chick is waaaaaay shortened.

I've been clearing the 4 pip difficulty ones with the cleaver just fine. Just gotta abuse the punch to stagger ragers and other heavy melee guys, and take the 50% more/less damage talent so you can tank the big boss mobs when needed. I can't imagine ever giving up the raw damage the cleaver...

I think this is what is irking me more than crashes. The entire game feels like a step backwards from Vermintide.

I'm not a big fan of the shield. It's only real use so far appears to be the special for tanking plague ogryns, but how often does that even come up? Like every 5 maps? I much prefer the cleaver or knife and using the 50% damage talent vs big enemies. Way more useful weapon for regular enemy...

Yea it's not immediately clear to me how many of the issues I have with the game currently are just because I'm playing ogryn heh. Like ogryns have a sprint+slide just like everyone else, but it doesn't actually work cause your model is so fucking big lol.

Yea this is legit just worse than vermintide in many ways sadly. It's also a shitload of copypasting from vermintide too. The psykers entire staff moveset is just the bright wizard colored blue, the entire grimoire/scripture system is a complete copypaste, the ogryn is like 95% exactly the same...

Yea pugs are rough for sure. The proximity based shield regen is so fucking vital and people just will not stack up properly for it.

Near as I can tell they overhauled that system entirely and it's at least psuedo-random now. The old previous locations for finding specific items don't have those items anymore, and everything found as a hidden item for me so far has been sundries/crafting.

They removed the Thief class entirely - stealing is not a mechanic in the remake. Any unclaimed loot bags on the ground are claimed automatically at the end of a battle. The only way you could miss out on them if is if an enemy steps on one and survives the fight.

Visuals are really great, so are sound effects and general atmosphere. Game runs like doodoo on a ryzen 5800x and 3090. I can keep ~70fps if I turn off RTX and a ton of other shit, but it's pretty bad. Matchmaking appears to be p2p just like Vermintide was and fails frequently. Load times are...

I definitely noticed that on jugg vs slayer. In theory jugg has just as much AE as slayer, maybe even more so at like 10+ endurance charges, but it still never felt quite as good? For whatever reason slayer bops entire packs with ease while the jugg setup struggled constantly with stragglers...

Boneshatter is an absolutely cracked skill. On a 4link with like a 350dps axe it was still pushing 300k dps, and slayer leech + vaal pact is nuts in the delve settings where you just will always have leech running.
