I remember at the beginning of the RoS beta gold and loot was easily attainable but I thought I remember the amount was supposed to be nerfed. Not sure if we are talking before or after that point.

HotS looks like it has snowballing as well.. just not near as bad. If you win a few team fights which gives you time to farm xp/objectives that puts you at a pretty good advantage. You can definitely see the level disparity when a team is down by 3 or 4 levels.

They do but this looks like its the least learning intensive of any moba I've ever seen. The fact that their is no items to remember/learn should help many newcomers.

From my understanding you don't gain gold per match unless it was changed over night. Its for leveling up and completing quests which aren't usually done in just one match. Obviously everything is subject to change, but rarely do business models change or change drastically.

Well everyone always says Valve has the infrastructure to support having free heroes. I'd argue that Riot is at that point by now but they still charge.. like an asshole company would. Blizzard definitely has the infrastructure to support free heroes but you know ActiBlizz.

Dota being free? League being pay for heroes/earn then semi slowly through playing. Looks like even slower and worse price gauging than Riot's system. Obviously this could change but $10 for like 5 of the heroes? $20 for a rainbow mount? The fuck bros? Dota has some expensive cosmetics as well...

I've found once enemies started having armor or shields nearly every fight I would start using abilities.. especially once you get OP buddies like Kyle/Cartman.
