In my situation friend PC is literally on its last leg so i built a 3900x for her because her video card died - She has an i7 860 from like 11 years ago or so and was using a 970 - so even this upgrade will keep her going for like another 4-5 years and can upgrade if ever the need - but...

Im certain BB will have atleast 3080s on release day - likely limited to just a few per store but they should have them also. All the bestbuys around me carry some gpus and ram/SSDs etc - just a small section near the video game consoles.

Thats my test bench - i sold my pc a month ago because i knew prices on things would change and i wanted to build another rig - also not enough cord space to flip it - the cord would be forced down through the riser cable more than likely

Same as my bench, but I’m thinking to use a p5 for water cooling depending on how everything fits.

Now that i think about it - i dont think this will fit accurately in my p3 if i use it for water cooling due to how far out the 3090 will stick out to where the pump goes. May need to get a p5 i think they have a bit more wiggle room.

Also this - aint no way im not using PCIE 4.0 with a 3090 - So yep intel will have to wait.

Eh i do more than just game on my pc and considering the 4000 series crushes intel on laptops now id imagine they can do the same on desktop upon release too.
