Yeah, hard to say how much the resists do. They certainly help at least to a point in regular HM. When I get my fire resist up to a decent amount (5k+, so using a mod) bombers don't effectively 1shot me from full. I haven't tried doing any of the HM colossi without the resists, though. Maybe...

Got my 3 normal lepic pieces cooking now, and got a 323hp + 769 hp + 3386 fire res auxillary power while I was farming the mats so that was a nice upgrade. About 800 res and 150hp more than the one I was using before. Now to figure out how to farm the code.

I wouldn't go too crazy on the rerolls until you finish working through the story and can make your guns level 100. A few times is ok but I think doing it a lot is a waste of the mats, especially when you start locking 2+ and rolling.

Yeah I had a couple of the hard fights end at like 5% too, it's so much more frustrating than failing with them being at like 50% still. Just failed a hard obstructor somehow, but we had death count and 4 minutes still so no clue what happened.

I think a big part of pugs is that there's probably just a massive amount of ppl who don't level up their guns, their mods, their anything. It's just a "fail X times in a row until you finally get a mediocre group". One of the hard mode Pyros I just did before beating it on 3rd or 4th try, 5...

You can just use any level 100 gun to level transfer onto your current tamers too and then just reroll the stats.

It's hard alone because a lot of the incoming damage is unavoidable. Do you have solid resists? They also help quite a bit with some of the incoming damage. I can facetank some of the colossi and stuff just from going a bit over the recommended resists they put for them for quite a while.

You get plenty of weapon proficiency just from killing stuff, even if it's with skills.
