I use a phone and Google Maps for actual navigation and directions when needed. But my wife's SUV has a large display with a map and it would be nice to have it updated to reflect recent roads constructed. When I'm driving and glancing at it, annoying when the roads are wrong or have changed...

Random question: does anyone know where to get map updates for Garmin navigation systems? Paying $75 through their official updater seems dumb and I'm surprised I can't find anything out on the high seas.
