I got to credit them, the bipedal sheep zombie was pretty freaky, they've got some actual originality going on in the series.

I mean, she stole it because they wouldn't give her a gun. It's probably badass by twelve year old standards ;p

    Alien: Earth

I just rewatched that bit, and I don't think it does. Admittedly it's a pretty dark and choppy scene but it looks like they are in shipping container with alien on top - she stabs it through the top of the container, spills a lot of acid everywhere, and then a bit after that the container...

    Alien: Earth

Wendy definitely has wi-fi - they said they added it for remote monitoring but that she isn't supposed to be able to use it when they are talking about how she is fucking with the monitors. The *alien* having wifi seems a bit of a stretch though, but hey it 'worked' in independence day right ? ;p

    Monster train

I literally just finished that one in a gargantuan blowout. I agree it's super annoying that the starter cards are effectively unusable ( I got *some* use out of playing orechi top floor by himself so I could guarantee the mix hitting him with reanimates to finish the first boss ). Key to my...

I generally only go for card draw with decks I was probably going to win with anyway. I think the deployment phase removed most of the draw value because it adds a huge ember and space sink.

    Monster train

I eventually won, but it was mostly due to the relic that removes buffs on entry, so I don't feel great about it - a win's a win though I guess.

    Monster train

Ugh, the 'Trigger Happy' dimensional challenge sucks - that's the one where all enemies start with damage shield 2 and you start with the worst champion in the game (prince), backed up by the least synergistic clan ( with prince I mean ) in the game.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

It was still getting more than 2 mil viewers, so it was arguably popular. I don't know how you manage to lose $40m though, I was honestly surprised that it *cost* more than $40m, let alone that it lost that much. I'm pretty skeptical on the 'it was all Trump!' theory in any case - even if...

    Summer 2025 Anime Thread

There's thousands of artists involved in anime, and there's no consistent style or convention across them - that's kind of why this argument shows up, in that people are often thinking of completely different styles which makes them think they people they are arguing with are batshit crazy...

Another couple of recommendations from the last couple of months : Sky Pride This one is a cultivation story with the MC as a crippled kid that survived an assassination attempt and has grown up living in a garbage dump. A bit more thoughtful than the typical quest for true ultimate power™...

I finally got around to trying this one out ( my backlog is endless ! ), and I liked the first two books - be warned though that the first book starts slooooow. Once they actually get into the game it's pretty fun, but it takes like a 100 pages of meandering backstory to get there. Their...

Dante fills your deck up with banes, but he gets +multistrike for each one, so if you use Dante the more bloated your deck is, the better. You never draw anything useful unless you have the fountain relic ( in which case, loooooool ), so it's a little boring. One hilarious other example is the...

    Monster train

Slowly working through the various cov10+titan combos, found a few fun things: - Crushing Demise is way better than I gave it credit for - I thought it meant 'sacrifice a random friendly unit to kill a random enemy unit', but it's actually literally 'Kill random friendly. Kill random enemy', so...

I feel like Fenix's breath should have a 2 turn cooldown not 3. It's a lot of work to make him better than a cheap knock-off of the hot-head. Death by burnination is always fun though, except for those stupid silence cherubs - another reason zone of silence is the best room ;p

    LitRPG

Looking for Group and The Noob probably count technically, the rest are pretty questionable. What makes it litrpg instead of just fantasy in general is acknowledgement of game elements within the story - so, Vox Machina is debatable because they all stay entirely in character - they won't talk...

    Paradise

I liked this show. Well acted, interesting story, and I give them bonus credit for it being a self-contained story. The mystery is wrapped up, the questions are answered - the answers make sense, the mystery wasn't stupid, there's places to go for a second season, but if there never is one...

Found another hilariously broken interaction for Underlegion. The artifact that gives you stealth on summon and +3 atk per stealth stack combos with Bolete's build that propagates all friendly units on slay. As long as you can kill at least one unit, the entire floor becomes permanently...

    LitRPG

I liked the Alex Verus books, and the ending was not bad at all, but they don't have any litrpg elements if that is specifically what you are after. For litrpg finished ones specifically, uh - this one finished fairly recently and I thought it was a good read throughout. Not perfect by any...

When Luna wins, they win big - you kind of need to get one of the armor spells early though. Still, the above is relatively minor on the shenanigans front. Just one-tapped Seraph with a 16k hit from Grael, lol. ( Get some reanimate on Grael, then sacrifice him to an assistant with brain...

    Monster train

Some funny interactions in here for sure: - funguy troops dying count for harvest effects like wickless tycoon and memorial fund. I think I had more gold in that game than any other 3 games combined. - egg specced Gilda and the mirror room - loool. Pro-tip - don't merge Heph's hammer and the...

    Monster train

I did way better with mushroom boys than dragons. Dunno if the mushies are stronger but the playstyle clicked more for me for sure. What are you playing?

BG3 has a solid argument for best CRPG of all time. As far as woke goes - do you want to fuck bears ? No ? Then don't fuck bears. Are you worried you might be tempted to fuck bears ? There's probably an anti-bear-fucking mod available to download. Are you deeply offended at the idea that...

A lot of them start as web serials, so there is a strong incentive to keep going as long as possible when it is successful, as there's no guarantee that new series will receive the same degree of success. The same kind of applies to regular publishing as well, but to a lesser extent as the...

    Predator: Killer of Killers (2025)

I liked this - constant action, almost no character building, good animation, moderately interesting stories. The bad - shitty framerate, and while the viking story was decent, the japan one was good, the american one leaned way too hard into the absurd. The logic for how the end fight played...

    Ballerina (2024)

I thought this was not bad, if a bit overdone - could use some editing, like the first time she spoilers a group of guys, it was pretty cool, but after victim number 40 or so it was wearing a bit thin. I will say though : Now starring - Mecha-O'Shane, The Ghoul of Gabriel Byre, Lance...

    Alien: Earth

I want to say I watched them, but I think the memories have been repressed due to trauma ;p I'd be right there with you, if the writers, producers or directors have any overlap with the movies, but I don't think they do ? Genuine question though - what makes something 'zoomer slop' ? I would...

    Doctor Who

No. The good storylines pretty much left when Moffat did. That era was kind of an anomaly, historically Dr Who has always been a low budget kid's show, and the quality of writing was wildly all over the place, but usually below average.
