A bunch of draft picks is "buying" a Superbowl??? Jesus dude, get a grip. The "buying" wasn't trading for the picks. It was signing Charles Hayley, and later Deion as free agents. Draft picks have NEVER been considered buying anything

Didn't at least a couple of those picks turn big? Like Emmit and Woodson? They filled that roster out with GOOD talent at low cost, giving Jerry some incentive to splurge on free agents at the least.

The Deion signing was what easily the cherry on top.

Here is what Jimmy did with those picks

Remember, we won the Super Bowl in the '92 season. Saying the trade itself was part of "buying" a Super Bowl is absurd. Everyone was trying to buy a Super Bowl. You think the Niners having Young, Rice, Deion, Ken Norton, Ed McCaffrey, and Dana Stubblefield was cheap???

if the Vikings have their pick, bottom out and draft a Qb.

Good signing by the Falcons. Only a 2 year deal, and finally have a professional at Qb so they can find out if all those offensive rookies are worth a damn.

They followed up letting Cousins walk with a couple big defensive signings.

Pretty confusing strategy without a QB

If they were gonna let Kirk go, they probably should have nabbed Wilson first when they had the chance. Now they are pretty much fucked for the forseeable future. But its not shocking they let him go. Vikes have a long tradition of dumping QBs who are injured immediately. As a Packer fan, I am going to miss the late season burnouts after fast starts. Realistically, looking at the division for the next few years, they should probably have a fire sale and build some draft capitol for when the window closes at least for the Lions. Nothing they do now will make them competitive in the division.
