Haliburton goes down hurt. Gratz OKC.
Not so fast.

OKC is repeating the same thing they did in game 6. At this point, they're getting outshot from 2, 3, and the line. Indiana is absolutely torching them from 3.

If they play the second half the same way, they're going to lose.

I live in Norman (suburb of OKC) and I'm not confident they're going to win. I think Indiana is a 65/35 favorite. I was going to put $1500 on them this morning but didn't because it felt super dirty as a Thunder fan.

*Edit*

I misread the turnover stat line and fixed my post.

Thunder are just going through the motions. Unfortunately I expect them to make adjustments and turn it on in the 2nd half. Rick needs to come up with something big, like benching Myles Turner.

Well, 3 consecutive threes will give a team some momentum.

Guys like Caruso for OKC and McConnell for Indiana provide so much heart for their respective teams. They don't always have great stat lines, but their presence is massive.

Indiana is shitting it up with (mostly unforced) turnovers, they're gonna lose.

you can see the pop on the slow-mo

Holy shit, I cringed hard.

You can literally see his shit pop at the 36 second mark.

The guy knew he was on the verge of a serious injury and went back out there anyway. He has my respect, but it's terrible for his long-term future. He'll be out most, if not all, of next year and will likely never be the same player.

Sam Presti is now absolved of his gravest sin, trading James Harden instead of paying him.

Getting out of the upper apron tier is a big deal. Maybe Tingus Pingus balls out and goes wild but even if he does, not sure that means much if they don't have Tatum anyways. Drue has obviously declined and his contract was going to look really shitty soon. They can try to put themselves in a position or 26-27. Also, the East is shit enough that Brown and White might be good enough to get them to the playoffs.

I expect the pistons to take a pretty big step forward. I’d say the same about the Magic but I feel like it gets said every year with no payoff. East is definitely wide open with the Tatum and Haliburton injuries.

It's pretty hard not to like Detroit. The team plays hard. I can't think of any high salary guys on that team, so they will soon be able to make a free agent splash when ready. If any super star wants to go to the Pistons that is.
