Think anyone will hire Brian Kelly again? He was put into two big programs and just plain failed to build it into something spectacular. With his payout he wouldn't have to work again if he isn't an idiot with his money. But I bet he goes somewhere like The Midwest Women's School for Typewriter Maintenance.

I'd be very leary of taking a private plane provided by a supporter of LSU as a new hire head coach. They hired Bo Rein in1980 and he was attempting to fly to Baton Rouge and him and the crew flew off into the Altantic lost forever when they lost pressurizaiton. Plane was provided by Nichols construction. I guess LSU now has their own private jet. Guess it worked out.

This sport has been dead to me for awhile, but jesus this is just slop these days.
In the last 10 years they have literally ruined College football.
They destroyed historic conferences and rivalries. They have ruined the schedule. They have implemented multiple failures of playoff systems. The transfer portal is an abomination. Kids are mercenaries, money is flooding and choking the sport, bowl games no longer matter, parity is worse than ever. Recruiting is a dead art. Team planning and structure no longer matter. There is no such thing as succession.
Oh well. I was never against paying players. I was for it if done in ways that allow parity. But the sport is dead. I guess Saban and alabama really choked the life out of the game but man these last years have destroyed it.

LSU is a premier job in all sports. LSU Ohio State Alabama Michigan are the top tier of NCAAF

Kiffin has to leave now, he has only 2 weeks to put together a staff, roster, and recruits for next year before deadline. Right now every college has two choices, Hire a coach during the year and fuck over another school, or hire someone out of work. There is no wait to the end of the year.

I would also argue Alabama is not a “top tier” *JOB* from a certain perspective. I would imagine the pressure to win big is insane there and can testify first hand that their fans are the P99 poopsockers of College Football

Baton Rouge cant be much worse than Columbus aka Mini Somalia 2.0, or Ann Arbor, or Tuscaloosa
Oxford is the best of this list but would you rather be a head coach there, or make 13 million a year to be King of Baton Rouge and work remote as much as you can.
LSU is top of the heap with any school in terms of brand, budget, recruiting clout and facilities.
Worst case he fails in a few years and gets 91 million dollars. Ole Miss could never touch that,.
