Playoffs and the Committee are a failure. It needs to be redesigned from the ground up.

this shit is hysterical, they are still paying Orgeron as well not just Kelly
CFP is already a complete fucking joke. ND still ahead of Miami despite winning ON THE FIELD. What a fucking mockery of competition.
Playoffs are cooked.

If the committee can get the OU (10-2) vs UT(9-3) rankings correct, what is stopping them from getting ND(10-2) vs Miami(10-2) right? Hmmmmm????I don't know, I kind of like them.....

INCOMPETENCE!!
OF COURSE They would.... because Texas state budget is $338 BILLION over two years. Texas could throw HALF A BILLION at UT and A&M and not blink an eye.We are entering a very fucking dangerous period with these schools when the goddamn governor of a state is flat out stating that the fucking taxpayers are on the hook for shitty contracts between coaches and schools.
It is an AMAZING workaround to coaches/players compensation that they are considered State "employees." It means State schools are going to have basically unlimited funds at some point since 100 million/year is a fucking rounding error. Hell, Oklahoma's state budget in 2024 was 12.8 Billion; round that up to 13B and tell all the OU/OSU fans and alums that each school has 100M for coaches and players and they'd ask for the budget to be RAISED.
The SEC is a half step away from just blowing up the entire CFP anyway. And at this point, I support them. Just join the Big 10 and make a deal between yourselves for a 8 - 12 team playoff between the two conferences to crown a "Super Conference" champion. In time, the media would end up calling it a National Champion eventually anyway.I'm kidding, they are fucking terrible and there should be measurable statistics that they use to help justify their decisions.
Also, I have to assume that conference championship games are done after this season; they are going to move to play-in games and not take away from the teams that are locked. How much better would the Big XII game this weekend be if it was BYU vs. Utah so that one or the other could make a case for the playoffs without hurting Tech's chances? What about a Vanderbilt/UT neutral site matchup to try and eek in another win for one of them a force the committee to leave the winner out?
