Not the right ones. Lafleur needs to go. I went to bed before the 4th quarter started knowing that he'd find a way to blow the game. He turned an 18 point lead at halftime and 11 point lead with 5 minutes to go into a loss. I knew all this was coming when he lost to the Browns 3rd game of the season. The guy cannot handle stress at all. He chokes and then shits himself the moment any pressure is applied, and he does it with the consistency of an atomic clock.

I mean, I went to bed knowing he'd blow it because his collapses can be seen from outer space.

The Bears went into halftime looking beat and run down and accepting of a loss. Then they came back and stuck their feet up Lafleur's ass and he had no response to it. He never adapts, learns, or changes plan. His predictability is easy to bank on, and it leads to stupid losses like this. I mean, the first half Bears did everything they could to lose the game, and Lafleur wouldn't let them.

He's lucky with the expanded playoffs, because they'd be on year 4 of not making the playoffs at all.

This weekend the part of the Dallas Cowboys was played by the Green Bay Packers. Well done imitation, boys. You even gave your fans hope before destroying their lives.

That was sent to them as part of the parsons trade.

I have a surprising number of friends, many born and raised in Texas, who are somewhat die hard Packer fans. Last night and this morning has been supremely entertaining to me.

And from a national commentator I frequently get a nice "Sensible Chuckle" from who apparently is also a Cheesehead... Who was so confident of a Packer win that she went to watch the game at a bar full of Bears fans....

But as a lifelong suffering Cowboy fan, I thank their coaching decisions in that game for upgrading their number one pick (which the Cowboys own) from 25th to 20th last night.

I think we can now start to truly appreciate the scale of player Parsons is....
Packers were 0-5 in games Parsons either didn't start in, or didn't finish. If that man hadn't blown an ACL they would honestly probably have rolled the Bears since even without him they were still getting some pressure (just not enough).

Not to mention look at the Cowboys without him... If they had mounted even a mediocre defense they probably would have made the playoffs at least.

Here's the info nugget I was looking for...

And to continue to drive home just how much the Packers really are the Cowboys... In their first 4 playoff appearances:

Jordon Love : 1-3
Dak Prescott : 2-2

HMMMMMMMMM

I'm seeing a ton of the die hard and delusion amongst the Cowboy fan base going nuts about how INCREDIBLE a QB Dak is....

Then I bring up two key things :
  1. As Bill Parcels famously said : You are what your record says you are
  2. Dan Marino and Tony Romo also both had great stats....
Then I get called a "Fake Cowboys Fan"

I've been called a "Dak Hater" because I continually point out that for 17 games of the regular season, Dak is a top 5 QB. As soon as the regular season ends, he becomes a bottom 5 QB.

Some dudes can't handle the pressure or something.

I'll even admit that sometimes the struggles of the Cowboys aren't Dak's fault at all. This year, as I said, if they had just put forth an average defense, they probably would have been in the playoffs and potentially past the first round.

But the cold hard reality of football is that the QB is not only seen as an athlete, they're seen as the field general leading the troops in battle. If the war is lost the first stop is to look at them. That's just how it is. QBs are the one position that touches the ball on virtually every single offensive play. The buck stops with them. Even if sometimes it's not even the offense that is the problematic area.

Honestly, the best way to watch a game is with a bunch of real fans of the other team. Win or lose I'll have a better time than if I watch alone. As long as they are real fans not just haters. Haters are only fun to watch with if my boys are winning.

I know micah never missed many games for injury as a cowboy, but he was always playing hurt. I think he's a bit fragile and it might be catching up with him. It's the only dig I have on Parsons. He's a warrior that he plays through injury but it does put him at 3/4ths speed and makes him more likely to get hurt worse. Well, also run defense. That's another neg I have for him. But that's not relevant here. I'm just surprised it was his ACL and not his back that took him out.

I didn't like him from the beginning. He is and always has been lucky. He should throw twice as many INTs every year as he actually does. It might be 3x. Linebackers and DBs drop his passes like the ball is buttered. The problem with luck is that it tends to run out when you play better teams. That's what I think is happening with Dak. I have to admit he's gotten a lot better the past few years though. It's not all luck anymore, but I still think his luck is making him look better than he is.

Compare that to Romo who was much better QB with shit luck. He was getting picked off if the ball got within 3 ft of the other team.
