I thought it was a bullshit call on the Broncos final INT - it was weird to me that nobody on the broadcast was questioning it. Like he clearly seemed to have possession before he hit the ground, then hits the ground (down), and only then did the CB very quickly gain some kind of possession of the ball and rip it away. Seeing so many people question how that was not a catch - call that literally decided the game.

He didn’t make a football move before going to the ground so the play doesn’t magically end the moment his body hits the ground. He has to complete the process of the catch through the ground, which he obviously didn’t do. Jooka already made the best point, remove the defender and it’s incomplete with no controversy.

Man, wasn't even rooting for Denver at all but woke up today thinking how much that would suck.

I think it's weird they didn't review it, but it seems pretty clear it should end up an Int, though. Not sure what Cooks was doing, but once you're going to the ground, you have to survive all that with possession, and clearly right as he hits the ground the ball is popping out/being stolen by the DB. Literally just don't hand it off to the guy there, and without gaining another yard it's a 39 yard FG to win the game. Obviously in a game full of turnovers/big plays/etc, blame is going to get spread around, but if he just doesn't hand the ball over while rolling very likely they just kick and win a couple plays later.

Nah without defender pretty sure he holds on to it. But like you said when going to the ground like that you have to do a football move and right as he's landing the DB is stealing the ball out.

I think the biggest confusion about the whole thing is they did review it with an expedited review and basically said nothing of it. They needed to be more transparent about it rather than just move the game along and say nothing like they did.

This is the strangest game I've ever watched. It's like lingerie football, and they put KY jelly on the ball. Game is gonna be 35-38, with 300 combined yards of offense and 13 turnovers

Stroud plays like a guy who has money against his team, like the guy in Vegas who bet $50k there would be a streaker during the SB then streaked during the SB.

Stroud is just totally melting down. It's a good thing Houston has a good defense or this would be looking like last night's game.
