I'm on record that the 9ers are not a Superbowl team this year, and the Seahawks proved that Saturday night, but I would sure enjoy putting an end to the Eagles season before we go out.

Note that that number of wins vs quality opponents resulted in Carroll getting canned - https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...ete-carroll-one-season-gm-john-spytek-remains

That said, I'll reiterate that if there ever was a year for a high seed to sneak into the Super Bowl, this is it. Even as the 2 seed, the Patriots just need to squeak by a warm weather, not 100% Chargers team, likely squeak by a warm weather Jaguars team (though that should be a game), and then squeak by the offensively challenged winner of Broncos / Texans, possibly in their own stadium. That's far from the hardest road ever for a Super Bowl appearance.

Edit: Stefanski in Cleveland and Gannon in Arizona also out, but all three GMs remain.

Man I never understood how a bad GM always seems to survive. If that's your coaching pick, that's almost as bad as fucking up a top 3 pick. If he wasn't, it's still your fault. You should have gotten your guy in.

NFLs site bracket doesn't play out like that, they have winner of LAC/NE playing winner of HOU/PIT.

The only team that looks dominant late in the season in either conference is the Jaguars and they are the most complete team. Denver is just too damn inconsistent on Offense for my liking. At least three teams going are cooked due to injuries (Packers, Chargers, SF) and every other team in it has serious question marks. Texans are going in hot as are, oddly enough, the Steelers. I expect both of those teams to ruin someone on their way out, due to their defenses if nothing else. Bears and Eagles look defeated with the way their seasons ended and neither of them have consistency. Pats rode in on an easy schedule so who knows with them.

Right now gun to my head, I would pick Jags beating the Roidhawks if I had to guess the outcome of the playoffs. Roidhawks have the best likely game path to the SB (I expect the Packers to win over Chicago, then get destroyed by Seattle who will likely get the Rams in the NFCCG) with the Rams being the biggest potential obstacle. Jags have already beaten basically every other team in the AFC playoffs, including Denver, and unless the Pats are for real or the Texans catch fire, they probably get to the SB. Consistency is key and both teams are consistent, have wins on stronger teams, and have reasonably winnable paths to the top.

NFL doesn't actually have brackets, it is strictly seed based. If this weekend #3 Jax, #2 NE, and #5 Hou win (my picks), #1 Den gets the lowest seed remaining (#5 Hou) in the divisional round next weekend.

I wrote that line for a reason, unless Stefanski went over Berry's head to get Deshaun Watson, there is zero doubt which of the two should be fired at the moment.

Edit: And that's already getting argued in public -

More detailed:
Round 1- Packers squeek past the Bears, Jags pants the Bills, Pats edge out the Chargers (this could go either way), Texans defeat the Steelers and both teams beat the fuck out of each other in the process, and the Eagles sneak past the corpse of the 49ers
Round 2- Denver eeks out a win against the Texans who inflict injuries, Jags introduce the Pats to reality, Hawks beat the Packers in a 10-3 thriller for the ages, and the Rams beat the Eagles because Stafford
Championship Round- Roidhawks PROBABLY beat the Rams in a low scoring game due to defense and familiarity, Jags beat Denver in a high scoring nail biter
SB- Jags win solidily in a low scoring affair over whoever wins the Rams/Hawks game, due to balance.

He also didnt want Sanders and they still drafted him. Im thinking Stefanski was the only one with half a brain there.
