We do need a defensive coordinator.
He's not even a good coach, he's just not an actively bad coach. I suppose if I had to categorize him as good or bad without the 'aggressively mediocre' category that I think he genuinely belongs in then I guess I'd have to call him a good coach? His Super Bowl win was with what was still mostly Cowher's team, he's had two deep playoff runs with Steelers teams that I would genuinely call "his" and then a whole bunch of missed playoffs and first round exits.1st round exit again for the Steelers, and Tomlin has to be out also IMO. Good, but not a great coach.
Dallas should just give him what he wants and call it a day.
IMO Atlanta (outside of Baltimore) is the best landing spot for a coach of his caliber. I guess it boils down to faith in Penix (I don't follow Atlanta) is this dude just finding banana peels on the field on have a chronic injury?
The reward is keeping your job for 20 years. My gut says being consistently good is harder to do, but we also don't reward consistent goodness, just whomever ends up Champions.
Unless you're John Harbaugh...The reward is keeping your job for 20 years.
While the reports claim the Ravens fired Harbaugh, I’m told that is not entirely true. Sources reveal that a plan was presented to the head coach to keep him on board in Baltimore, but it required Harbaugh to fire several of his assistant coaches, which he refused to do. As a result, the sides decided to part ways. Had Harbaugh agreed to the changes in his staff, he would still be coaching the Ravens.
Harbaugh now becomes the hottest coaching candidate in a year where the pool is shallow for head-coaching prospects. Reports say Harbaugh’s agent received more than a half-dozen calls from NFL teams inquiring about hiring him once news broke that he had been let go by Baltimore
