his comments after the game were pretty baffling and made me wonder wtf he was even playing at all, particularly special team plays

What a clusterfuck lol. They've known this since the beginning of August. So now they do it during the season after he plays one game?

We have a brutal schedule too. Just fucking idiotic.

Rams D will be fine if AD comes back. This is just stupid though. Did he pass his physical and they traded for him anyways? Why wait over a month and play this motherfucker before doing this?

We could have Verse and could have drafted Bain and still have first round picks we traded away. Insane.

I love that my team will go for it and have on paper the best team, I hate that you have to listen to all the dumb superteam bullshit before the year. I mean, it's better than being the Jets, but god damn if it doesn't always come back to bite you in the ass. Doesn't even take long. The year after the superbowl win we had 2 OL injured in the first game against the Bills and it ruined the entire season.

This season could be a disaster with our schedule. He is at least going to miss games against the Giants, Broncos, Eagles, and Bills. Could be looking at 1-4, some superteam.

It's damn hard to win the super bowl. There's just so many things to go wrong. I heard recently someone talking about a stat that the team that the odds-on favorite to win the SB at the beginning of the season almost never actually wins it. That's rough about Garret though. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the way that played out has anything to do with gambling. I bet zero tackles for Garret in the season opener would have had some pretty good odds.

Or you know call an obviously successful QB sneak for a TD no good by looking down the line where you can't possibly see anything.

Really though, the teams that win Superbowls are generally the good team that is still healthy throughout and especially at the end of the year. Rams were healthy last year but their secondary was trash and we dropped a punt at the 8 yard line in the NFC Championship game. You need injury luck, ball bouncing luck, and luck to get the proper opponent in the Superbowl. Patriots lucked their way to the Superbowl last year and got assfucked as soon as they played a real team.
