Spooky time. Some of the good ones I have found so far, with some demos available for them as well. Some waiting on release.
Shutter Story has a pretty good gameplay loop as a ghost detective trying to convince a family their house is fucked and they are all going to die.
The Cabin Factory: Too many prefab cabins have gone out without testing resulting in multiple deaths so to avoid lawsuits, it is time to test to see if the cabin is haunted before shipping. I got a couple good errie jump scares / chills down the spine out of this one.
Confronted: Amnesia with base building.
Mothered: Twilight Zone meets Poltergeist. You arrive to take care of your sick mother who is now somehow a manniquen
These are all cheap and kinda fun. Any suggestions for this time of year would rock
Mostly all indie games which are pretty well done.
