This was a complete rug pull. Especially considering Boyle is a senior veteran of the film industry. Unless 2nd and 3rd act gets better with the cuts and edits.

Yeah I know FOH gave this mostly terrible reviews but some of you need to re-examine your tolerance for slop. Boyle really fell off.

I think he tried to film it like the first one with that weird grainy style, quick cuts, and then he decided for some dumb reason to splice in clips of older films. Second act becomes more of a regular movie, and the third act is where it actually gets decent, but if you can slog it out I think you'll still like the second movie.

The man makes decent movies or had in the past, I just think it's been too long since he sat in the directors chair.

One thing that bugged me is just the stupid music choices where the first movie had such a good score. That's all fixed in the second film.

I really wonder if somebody looked at the final version of the first film and told him you're not allowed to direct the second movie because of his weird creative decisions.
