No it was always contingent on the 2nd one doing well, and the early buzz and returns greenlit it. Its already written, and will have VERY strong actor, so hopefully they can wrap it up nicely.
Well I guess I'm more optimistic about this one then. Ralph Fiennes was definitely the most interesting aspect of the other one, and the trailer has me interested enough along with your review. Thanks.

So what's up with the gay ass acrobats at the end of the first one. I doubt I'll ever watch this as bad as that one was.

Jimmy Savile reference. I have no idea why they were jumping around like the Power Rangers.

Enjoyed this a lot more than 28 Years part 1. Ralph Fiennes was awesome, the Old Nick/Iron Maiden scene was good fun. And Big Dong did a really good job acting without words.

That said, how did the Jimmy chick have a neck tattoo? Pretty sure the parlors have been shut down for the last three decades.
And why the fuck didn't Kelsin tell Spike about the "cure", or at least tell him to get his notes. I mean, I assume Samson is going to find our protagonists in the third movie to reveal what the doc uncovered, but the doc doesn't know that. Guessing the pregnant woman shows up in part 3 as well. This kind of felt like a long prologue for whatever that movie ends up being about.

Saw this yesterday on a lark and I really enjoyed it. I liked the first, except the ending, so take that for what it is worth. The only thing I did not like about the ending was the tracksuit ninja gang. The contrast between medieval England society and that group was too jarring.

As to Bone Temple, like Drinsic Drinsic mentioned, if you like Ralph Fiennes, this is the one for you. He was superb and he stole the show for me. The show he puts on at the end was shot really well. I swear they toned down the girth on the Alpha as well so it wasn't distracting.

I would push Bone Temple into the 'Good Movie in a zombie setting' category, maybe even good movie in general. It was more than a just a zombie movie for sure. Outside of some quasi-torture porn for 10m and general gore because of setting it was pretty normal.

I definitely didn't even think about the neck tattoo, that was more detailed work. I saw the guy stick and poking a tattoo on himself around the fire and then my mind said sure, sounds good.

I think they absolutely nailed the Fiennes / Samson relationship, friendship, recovery arc. I was genuinely concerned for Samson's safety multiple times. He was basically Wilson.

I was annoyed about the cure aspect, I hope his notes are documented and they have them.

For the Jimmies, they were fine. They played their part.

Glad that Cillian / Jim is back and will hopefully play a larger role in part #3. I am curious how the Kelly encountering another Jim go or if they will just let the name be coincidence and drop it.

I am worried Samson will be off'd by unknowing Kickass but he is an Alpha and seems to have retained his durability even while regaining parts of his mind. For the punch, I do think he will die, but perhaps he will get a Hodor moment as the rest of the infected seem to take issue with him now.

I feel like part 3 will drop and unite Spike, Kelly, Jim, <daughter>, and Kickass. Will also be curious if the pregnant lady that ran away comes back with a team from a different village to close the loops.

This was barely better than Part 1. The Iron Maiden scene was the highlight. But still terrible. Cant believe they got Fiennes to do these.

It is a shame because I like the premise of it. A virus that was designed to enrage as a military weapon that evolves and escapes into the population. This would most likely never happen, but there is something to the science of it.

It is not a "Zombie" movie per say, but it is treated like one.

The first one was great. Everything after not so much.

Can you go into Bone Temple without seeing the last one? That's the holdup for a lot of people.

They want to check Bone Temple out due to great reviews, but hesitant to do so due to the possibility of story requirements/ callbacks to the first movie in the trilogy.

Nope. This one picks up pretty much where the last one left off. The first one's not a bad movie but it had some parts that were just kind of bleh. If you watch them back to back it's probably a better experience though. And the third one looks like it's going to take place right after the end of the second one based on the ending.

I was a little skeptical of the black lady director but I think she did a pretty decent job.

It's better than the first because it does not suffer from an hour of exposition, the plot is somewhat original for a zombie movie (while the first film was not) and the film making is solid instead of being wacky. In the end it's... ok I guess?

So about 20 min into the first movie.

While I feel like a few people mentioned poor direction on FOH, it was massively understated.

This is YouTube wannabe 13 year old creator with a camera class project cinematography.

I remember reading most reviews related to the plot.

Danny Boyle should never work again. What a fucking hack.

It's every other shot too. I feel like I am usually pretty well-informed before I go into a movie.

This was a complete rug pull. Especially considering Boyle is a senior veteran of the film industry. Unless 2nd and 3rd act gets better with the cuts and edits.

Yeah I know FOH gave this mostly terrible reviews but some of you need to re-examine your tolerance for slop. Boyle really fell off.
