For those who were into gaming at the time of its release, the 7th Guest was known, since it's one of the first few CD-Rom games for Windows PC (there are a lot of earlier CD Rom games on different japanese systems, mainly PC-Engine aka TurboGrafx-16 since 1988, but also on Mega CD aka Sega CD and also on japan based computer format such as PC-88, PC-98, FM-Town etc..)

I played the original on a 486-SX33 with.... ready for it? a 2X Doublespeed CD ROM External drive. I think it was 300k transfer over 150k? :p

I still have my 11th hour CD's in their packaging around here too somewhere.

Edit: Lol in looking for the 11th hour CD"s I found my Original Tie Fighter CD and case and Quake Shareware episode 1 on CD.

Man... I was about to brag that I own Fighting Street, which is considered the first CD Rom game ever released (a very bad port of Street Fighter 1 on PC-Engine CD-Rom released on the 4th of December 1988), but while I was 99% sure to own it, I actually don't... I'll have to limit my bragging to the 4th CD-Rom game released on PC-Engine : Space Adventure Cobra - The Legend of the Black Dragon King or something (japanese style adventure game - images and text menus - based on a famous manga and anime sci-fi franchise) released on the 4th of march 1989. Just a little more than 37 years ago :(
