Your occipital lobe is in the back of your head, he wouldn't be able to see if his head was caved in like that, and would no longer be conscious, and his helmet would be so deformed it wouldn't be removable. I understand the artistic choice to show damage versus the internal destruction that blunt force trauma causes in order to register on screen but that was extreme.

It's why you blackjack people to the back of their head, lights out.
This right here.

Things like what you just described have always driven me mad. You and I will have to wait for AI to master cinema to make our own realistic movies, brah.

I get what you're saying but seasons have dwindled down from like 50 episodes to 20 to 10. Now we get 6 and done. That's pretty sad.

Imagine a season of Star Trek TNG being 6 episodes.
They're treating audiences like beggars.

"STFU and be happy you're getting a faithful adaptation to a beloved story instead of the woke treatment!!!"

It's all I hear.

That was a rough episode. Man, he took so much abuse. I didn't even realize it was him in the flashback until the girl called him Dunk. I was just thinking, I guess there is another POV in this show.

That head wound was a little fake I thought. There should have been blood gushing out of that. It's not something you would walk around and no one would notice.
The way he was talking about his fingers and moving I thought he had some sort of spinal injury around his neck that was about to gush when they removed armor.

In that scene though, my main thought was how they just decomissioned 14 capable knights over 1 royal being a dick. Fun to watch.

Maekar is a beast with that damn mace. If you watch closely you can see the moment he caves in his brother's head with a backhand swipe while also fighting off Lyonel, who has one of his horns broken off. Good shit.

Wish the fight was a bit longer. Backstory, while good, was like edging. Comon, show the goooood part. I was dripping cum by the time the thief got her throat cut. Gawd damn, I wonder whats in store for the final episode.

This show is so good. I really liked how they basically showed his lack of relative skill but huge strength and perseverance. The Baelor thing was definitely not medically accurate, but it had the impact that they wanted.

I enjoyed the spectacle and not going to boohoo it but yeah medically a lot was off. Like being able to do much of anything with a pierced gut. Don't care how tough you are you aren't ambulatory after that wound. I'm tougher than your average person and after emergency appendectomy yeah. You aren't doing much for at least a week. When your midsection is cut open your abdominal muscles just don't function properly.

Tis the story of GoT

Anyone good or noble dies while the evil and the wicked prevail.

while he heeded the "get up" part of his memory, he did not heed -they never forget- should have just killed the white haired bastard

Aerion and Dunk were scrapping and he was trying to get to them, Baelor and Lyonel were in the way.

And he is the obvious A-Hole of the bunch who spawned a super douche that he cannot control or upbringing properly, yet defends him to the death unable to see his children's obvious evil and only then serves to promote said evil... like Cersi

"But he is my son!" he was shouting as he was restrained to let them fight mano a mano - so then he got back and killed his bro to try and save his son.

Still should have crush the morons skull and ended it sooner than dragging him over and making him say it

There's a million what ifs that stem from this event. It was supposed to be some shitty little tournament for some random lord's daughter's birthday and turned into this shit. He clearly knows Aerion sucks, but I'm sure he has hopes of fixing him, like he does with Daeron. He's way more actually competent than Cersei ever was, she's on a totally different level of delusional.

Right, I get it- the heir apparent getting offed by his brother, who I guess then gets put up in line- sure is convenient for him

I have no read, nor do I remember the lineages and stuff from GoT - I only watched the shows, and I am a very lazy watcher - but isnt Egg going to be king? and isnt he a ultra douche? is he the one Jamie has to kill because he wants to burninate everyone?

So we have a story of how a virtuous knight becomes a kingsguard, and by odd events has the future king as a squire... that still just turns out to be a evil tyrant.

And the inbreeding does not help I suppose.

Also, did Dunk castrate the dude? seemed a little implied by the amount of damage the dude took from one "hit" - I mean did the dude just have 5STA & STR and 1000 CHA while Dunk was 1000STA & STR and neg 2 CHA.... lol

Yeah no spoilers, and I wont read the book, I will enjoy the rest of the show and eager wait for s2 when I will forget it exists until it shows back up here on the good ol FOH!

/ramble off...for now! *muahahhahaha

Did he know who he was hitting when he cracked him in the back of the head? I don't know all the little details but I know enough so it's interesting how it pans out. They already have the fuel to do 8 seasons and it sounds like George is actually focusing on that rather than the books lol. There have been some interviews where Martin has shared stuff that wasn't in the books.

In short Hes filling in the gaps. Between now and Robert

Maekar is the 4th son of Daeron the Good (the current king in this timeline), Aegon (Egg) is his 4th son. Baelor is Heir and he has a son who as of now is now Heir. Egg is currently like 10th in line or some shit. So lots of people die and don't breed for it to happen. His reign includes a lot of things to benefit the commons at the expense of the gentry so he's not popular with the lords.

Aerys II was the king Jaime killed. He's Egg's grandson in the books, but the Maester Aemon rant in the GoT show leaves out Jaehaerys II so in the show universe he might be Aerys father instead.

Google what you want, I didn't read the books but sounds like certain characters might not of died from this story that was kind of implied from the book.

Just so its clear, Baelor has two sons that are still in line before Maekar - the eldest, Valarr, is the one Aerion taunts but doesn't challenge, whose (ill-fitting) armor Baelor is wearing, leading to his death.

In the books, Maekar does become king, but he's pretty ineffectual, as the public (rightly) considers him a Kinslayer. The show also shows this is accidental. I think the show does a good job with Maekar - he clearly thinks Aerion is a little shit, but does love his sons, and in a world of inherited power he believes he does ultimately have to side with Aerion.

Egg / Aegon V's reign is probably best described as "Hell is paved with good intentions", the main point being he allowed his kids to marry for love and fucked over the political alliances he would have built otherwise (again, in a timeline where the Targaryens' haven't have any dragons in generations). Maekar's kids are all prophecy central, and Aegon and a number of of his family members all die in some sort of blood magic attempt to bring back dragons (The Tragedy at Summerhall).
