Yeah.. it's for "Elderly care'.... I'd be interested in seeing in seeing their definition of "companionship". heh We all know where this is going.

It's going to help a lot of elderly dudes live a few extra years.

I foresee a lot of rich sex bots in the future as old men die and leave their money to them.

I figure I would mention it here because the movie brings up a good conversation topic about AI - but I believe it should probably still go in that movie's thread:

Video AI Seedance 2.0 recently dropped, looking pretty good. The audio quality in this generation still needs improvement, but you could easily fix it yourself by running it through Adobe Podcast and/or Adobe Audition. It also lacks consistency in color grading between the two scenes, but that can be corrected with tools like Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.

Lol at the reveal in part 2

While working on the Showcase ROM, I ran into several bugs in the emulator (as expected) and had to step back to fix a few things. I've decided to put the Showcase ROM on hold for now.

The system has no BIOS, so there's no built-in foundation to help with game development -- no character set, no default fonts, nothing like that. To address this, I’m creating a basic SDK that includes a simple character set and a startup “splash” screen that loads before jumping to the actual game code

I know a lot of you will probably see this as silly, but for me it's valuable experience. It’s teaching me how to effectively direct and “lock” the coding agent to a specific task. And, honestly, it’s just pretty damn cool to build something that feels incredibly complex and way beyond my skill set.

The longer term goal is to expand the SDK with proper graphics and audio tooling, eventually enabling fully AI-driven development of retro-style games. What I’d really love to do is take some classic titles and give them a "super" makeover using this setup.

The system splash screen. Used AI to create a bitmap, then used AI to create conversion tooling to covert that bitmap into a tile-set usable by the system. So cool!
