Thats a nuts theory and I like it. I didn't know about the hint at a bladerunner universe connection, but after that last episode I was thinking this guy doesn't act like a normal synth would for that era, something is definitely unique about him and the replicant stuff fits

I'm not defending this episode at all, but I would say they let her back into wild because...what else would they do, she is a kid with other kids, if the memory wipe worked, it doesn't matter if wendy brought up recent events...kids forget about weird shit like that in a day, and it would be harder to convince a bunch of kids to all play along.

I also assume that Kirsh is the one who put the plans in motion, sabatoged the food tray door, since he was the one who asked the kid to go do the lab work, he wanted something to happen. And again, its a little kid with a little kid way of thinking...doing derp stupid shit fits.

The whole goddamn show is just stupid. If Morrow is trying to get an alien specimen but there is already one that they've gotten captivity, why the hell is he still telling poo kid to infect somebody.

I'm to the point where I just want smart guns and everybody getting blasted. The whole Wendy talking to the aliens is just retarded, I don't really care anymore but I only got two more episodes left I got a slof through.

It's amazing looking but it's so goddamn shitty. I'm hoping my Island just gets nuked at the end and everybody is gone.

I'll just come out and say it. This show is as the show itself put it "Smart people acting dumb"

That said. I just don't care. Maybe in other shows I would but for me I dont. I love it. Unabashedly. Just give me all of it. I want my humans to be reduced to meat for horrible aliens of every flavor no matter how it happens.

Are they stupid? 10000%. Hubris of man is a trope I love to subscribe to, and I am highly entertained. Yea they are all dead. They were always all dead. So lets get gnarley and gross and exploit humanity to its faults. I want that eye monster to win even though it obviously cant.

This show is stylistic, and well made and well acted and mysterious. How does all this fall apart? I still really dunno. Is Kirsh a Replicant?, is Morrow the reason cyborgs are discontinued in favor of synths? Does the eyeball take over Kavalier and nuke the island? I wanna know even if it doesnt matter for the big picture. The effort here is phenomenal. They took one of the abstract creatives in the business and told him to make a prequel to a loved IP and he has made it his own. The Z team fucked up and nearly ended Earth. Amazing.

So yea these people are retarded. Let them be food for the smart ones which happens to be not from Earth at all lol.

I get the complaints. If i was bored personally I'd be bitching all the same. I thought I knew what I was getting, but he loves this IP. He tried to create an Alien film in the middle of the series with the constraints in place. Sometimes for me the effort outweighs the outcomes, and for me this is that. I just cant nitpick this even though it maybe should be.

Show is fucking amazing. The shot of Kirsch and Morrow in the elevator was really cool. Both in ancient combat fatigues, Kirsch in Nazi grey and Morrow in US Army olive drab. I wonder if this is a foreshadow to future motivations?

Obviously Kirsh sees what's going on and is doing nothing to stop it. Morrow is the classic bad guy but is he? He wasn't the saboteur on the ship. He's been trying to get the specimens back under Yutani control. I've got a feeling Kirsch is going to try and free the aliens to doom humanity. Wendy and Kirsch are both seeming to see humans as the real bad guys. Even worse than the alien wildlife!

I'm betting the season ends with Morrow sacrificing himself to kill the escaped aliens and save humanity. Probably set off a low yield tactical nuke or something.

I would have liked the ending to this episode more if Arthur had the sense to close the flies' door and shut down the Prometheus level incompetence. Then they could have 1-2 extra facehuggers hatch before the credits roll and get directed by the grown xeno to escape after watching Slightly. This exchange witnessed by the Occy-sheep of course.

As far as Im concerned Kirsh broke the food door on the Fly's containment room because he wanted to test what those things could do to a synth. He flat told Toodles to follow the scientific method and that was his experiment. He even watched the entire thing go down and said nothing. He also knew Toodles has more or less a kid brain and was eager to please, so yea he risked it to please someone he looked up to. Remember to the hybrids they are not robots, they have "feelings" even though they shouldn't. Also those bugs didnt seem interested in a person so yea the doctor was trying to save something he considers his child.

Im thinking some of you haven't had kids lol. They are fucking STUPID. Putting the mentality of one into a synth is fucking retarded. Its one of the points of the whole show lol.

Not defending this show, but Aliens are shown to be pretty much physically stronger than humans by a significant margin from as early as the OG movie. Some of that may or may not be due to their complete willingness to destroy themselves to accomplish a goal, but the aliens have clearly always been physically stronger than humans. People probably got accustomed to comparing them with the Predators who are a degree stronger.

Glad to see my Kirsch is a replicant theory is taking off!

I didn't mind Tootles/Isaac making dumb mistakes in the lab, beside the obvious need for people to make mistakes for the plot moving forward, because they're the kinds of mistakes a kid would make.

We know several of the synth kids aim to please, much like kids do. Tootles wants to have a grownup name and look impressive, hence the Isaac name change for him (which no one else is calling him, so it's just his fancy). He decides to go alone to the lab because he wants to make Kirsch "proud", another kid trait. Then he does the first tasks just fine but when the drawer resists a little he exerts too much strength and breaks it. Instead of acting rationally and just skipping feeding the flies, which can probably survive just fine until Kirsch returns in a few hours, he panics like a kid who broke something important, and decides to try and do the task anyway, even taking huge risks. And then, once he gets locked inside the containment chamber because of the sheep's interference, he could have probably smashed the door hinges open but he didn't because in my opinion he didn't want to damage the lab even more because he was afraid he'd get told off by Kirsch. And then when the fly lands on his wrist, he seems to just be curious about it instead of reacting defensively, which costs him his "life", so yeah those were dumb kid moments but it made sense to me.

By comparison, it was a much dumber move to put Nibs with Wendy right after her memory wipe, unless it's a 4D chess move to see how she reacts to her memory being messed with and if she's okay with it, but that would also seem pretty dumb considering they're not acting like robots but are quite emotional, so it can only backfire.

But I'm with

Juvarisx , I don't mind because I enjoy the worldbuilding, the setting, the cinematography and the overarching story. If people were never dumb in Alien movies, there wouldn't be Alien movies.

I just dont think Atom Eins cares. He treats them as products and he needs them to be functioning perfectly waving to the crowd on a stage and make the Weyland-Yutani engineers envious. What these kids remember or what ethical dilemmas that creates is not even on his radar.

With that being said, placing Wendy and Nibs in that situation makes perfect sense from Dame Sylvia's perspective. She knows Atom can only be "put in his place" by Boy Kavelier, and the best way to get that to happen is to have Wendy angerly go to Boy accusing him of erasing Nibs memory. Boy at this point probably has no idea it happened.

I think this show is the ultimate exercise in getting the viewer to fully immerse themselves into these characters and decide on their motivations before they are revealed. It certainly doesnt pair with the current browse on your phone while half paying attention method most TV is these days.
