So the Alien that was killed by the Wendy was actually controlled by one of the eye creatures the entire time after the crash, correct? I think the real alien won the fight against the old human the eye was controlling but the eye jumped out and took control of the alien right before the crash.

Are the eye creatures a new part of alien lore?

I mean its tough to know if the writing is bad (it probably is) or not just because its tough to know the character like Wendy. On surface writing her as a kid makes sense, but is it a kid or a computer, and is it behaving like a girl should or like a homicidal machine. So I'll give them some slack on at least her writing just because the character could be all over the place.

Some of the other potentially bad writing could just be the 5d chess that Kirsch is playing. Example, while watching I thought it was retarded we are to expect one of the richest people in world's fortress of solitude is so under manned and insecure two of their biggest projects just walk around the complex with a dead body, and a invading force of 15 people can just walk around freely, until I realized Kirsch orchestrated it all as a setup.

So yea...not great writing still, but the show to me is best thing we've got in a long time for TV so I'm giving it a pass.

Well that a was retarded. The brother had no survival skills? Wendy being the alien whisperer is fucking dumb too. I was down to put up with a lot of shit on this show but I think it peaked in the ship episode.

That was a weird (and short) episode by itself, hopefully redeemed by a solid, longer season finale.

That scene with Slightly and the facehugger's disgusting noises and how he tries to make Arthur drink through the process was funny in a horrible way. I was also half expecting him to accidently break off one of the facehugger's "fingers" and have some acid burn off Arthur's ear or something when he was trying to pull it off his face.

Kirsch was the highlight as he often is. Also interesting moments with the eye monster, not sure if it's just trolling Boy Kavallier to drive him even more nuts, or just playing the long game.

Wendy being able to actually communicate with a xenomorph probably means this entire story arc needs to be deleted in a mushroom cloud because it's going to break the lore if anything survives this season's events.

Nibs going nuts (gasp what a shocker) also was a fun moment.

But other than that, the pacing and writing felt really unlike the previous episodes I thought.

To be fair, do you know what would happen to any of those soldier dudes if their excuse for shooting down a 6 billion dollar pet project of their boss is "but she was hurtin' a human, sir!"..?

Prodigy (and the other four companies probably) doesn't give a fuck about humans anymore, Atom didn't even blink about going to make a list of low-IQ employees to transfer the Eye Midge into.

Every one of those soldiers knows they're literally worthless and disposable compared to just one of those machines or specimens, they have their orders.

As a reminder, Ms. Yutani initially offered 10 billion dollars to Prodigy as compensation for the damage AND casualties from the Maginot crash on Prodigy City. Probably thousands of dead people, and a half destroyed skyscraper. 10 billion. Offered to a TRILLIONAIRE. That's just enough to dismantle the debris, haul the rubble and rebuild the tower, so that says something about how much value they put on people.
