I predict the eye monster gets Boy Kavalier before the end (after his order to place the eye monster in a "low IQ" person like the janitor to see what happens, he deserves a bit of comeuppance). Then the island gets nuked. It's the only way to be sure.

Season 2 can be about the other corporations, after Replicant guy smuggles a Xeno out (hopefully also having a pitched fight with Morrow at the end of this season). We know basically nothing about 3 of the 5 corporations.

Tyrell Corp being involved in S2 (via Replicant guy) would be awesome too. I'm guessing they got absorbed or renamed to one of the other corporations mentioned in the show (for legal reasons) but it can be alluded to that it's the same continuity.

Maybe someone already mentioned this, but this already happened in the flashback episode and it still was making gutteral noises. Of course the writers are retarded so who knows what they'll do with it.

I'm not defending it, because the show is so dumb, but I think her being able to communicate with the xeno is tied to her ability to manipulate electronics. Since the xenomorphs are biomechanical, they sort of live in the world between organisms and machines.... it's still stupid, but I think that's the implied in-story explanation.

This whole series has been a masterclass on how to completely rob a franchise of suspense and intrigue. Yeah, let's show the big bad xenomorph sitting on a box in a brightly lit cell looking bored. That's what the people want.

Also, the chestburster scene was the perfect distillation of this entire show: sorta like the first one but worse.
Even the very brief shot of the chestburster popping through his chest was a laughable version of the "guy laying under a latex model of his body" effect they used in the original Alien. It looked terrible and they didn't even bother to try to match up the angle of his head with the fake body. It looked like they covered a cardboard box with his shirt and got hm to stick his head next to it. Seriously, pause the show on that 1 second shot and see how bad it looks.

Swarms of main enemy = stacking aura debuff that reduces plot armor based on number of enemies

I still liked it because, well sci fi. That said… the alien isnt nearly as scary in a jungle setting compared to the claustrophobia inducing corridors of a spaceship with it crawling the vents/ shafts and snatching the crew left and right. Last episode, the xeno was basically the same lvl of scary has a tiger lookin for food. It was like watching jurassic parc, all the way to running for the boat at the docks….

Nothing in 7 will change your mind about the show. It was a good episode. Just leans a little much into some dumb tropes but the plot advancement and main players are still fine. The kids are still dumb. The alien is some kind of a lap dog now. But the industrial espionage and big show down between yutani/morrow and kavalier/kirsch are still driving the show.

The tropes are used to show some alien action and some decent gore. The crazy Android lady was great!

I like the show, but I have to admit that's fair - every single person other than the eyeball monster is either retarded, evil, retardedly-evil or evilly-retarded.

Our grandparents read great literature and watched black and white films that were like the film equivalent of classic literature.

We read fantasy and sci fi epics and watched summer blockbuster movies.

I think Drinker is just jumping on the bandwagon with this one. Yea it is no where near as good as the first episodes were, but its still good TV in a sea of uter unwatchable woke garbage. But I guess its cool to just shit on everything. I mean, he is talking about this like its Star Wars Acolyte. His arguements on why he thinks this is horrible are stupid. Why did a couple kids still drag a dead body with them to the beach? Mmmm maybe because they are dumb kids who are scared and his family is held hostage? I'm not defending all the writing, but these people shitting on the plot I just don't think really understand what it is they are watching.

I do agree with the arguement they reduced the actual Alien to be a laughable thing though, that was bad.

Yeah he’s just off his rocker on this one. The show is dumb, but I’ve powered through some aliens stuff which was way, way worse than this.
