Game came out yesterday - I'm traveling so playing on my gaming laptop. Runs and looks great, pretty decent hook and excellent presentation. Not really fumbling with the gacha yet, but will dig in more once I return and can play on my pc. Overall, compares very favorably to Wuwa or Genshin with a few more gameplay hooks. I love that I don't have to constantly switch characters, but can build team(s) to synergize.

Trying this out... so far it is just sooo many tutorials in the early game. I'm assuming once you get the factories going it gets better.

Factory tutorials are the worst part, but yeah eventually you get a lot of shit automated. Gacha system in this seems pretty bad, 120 pulls with no pity rollover and no guarantee after a lost 50/50. The other systems seem pretty good though. Static/deterministic gear sets, etc.

I've been having fun with this, not that far yet cause I spent 2 days rerolling for fire lady(only took 49 accounts... and only after they gave 10pulls to every account), but I'm liking it a lot more than I did Wuwa when I played that. Usually not too much into open world but the zones are somewhat compact enough and I like the building stuff around. Also been dabbling into production lines and it's quite fun. I also like some of the side systems like running deliveries and buying stocks and reselling them on friends' ships for big profit.

Story is pretty bad(or well I guess it's the bare minimum), combat is decently fun although if I wasn't playing Laevatein I think it'd be more boring? She has a built in ressource management mechanic that makes her interesting, a lot of other chars looked pretty meh in comparison. Wish skill generation was a bit higher baseline, but I guess this way they can sell a SP regen char.

Gacha is... kinda bad. On average it looks somewhat similar to Hoyo, but considering they're doing that I don't know why they went with a more complicated system that also makes users feel bad when unlucky(more than usual), between people who hope they can reach a 50/50 right before they hit their 120 else it's wasted and the fact that if you don't single pull the entire time, you're "losing" pulls for the 120 guarantee, it's all kinds of dumb. Weapon pulls also look fucking shit, again same average as hoyo most likely, but just worse for no reason. Only good side is getting a free weap every patch from the battlepass(an inferior one though, but well it's better than nothing). Hopefully they adjust some things, it's really weirdly designed.

Also first impression for casuals is likely horrible since the majority of the pulls is tied to exploration and advancing other systems like that, which takes hours to get to. You do get some free standard pulls but these kinda don't mean much, especially with the time limit on the banner. Easy for someone like me who plays a lot to reach 120 before the banner ends, but for a heavy casual it's unlikely and once they notice their 30pulls they put in the banner don't count for the next 120 limit(cause they didn't read), they'll likely just quit.

I will never understand this shit.

Anyway, these will come in handy:

I get way to sidetracked in this game atm, gotta find all the shinies, gotta connect power to every single mining node. No comment about the good/bad of this games gacha as I got Laeva on my 3rd single pull, then Last Right on my 5th. The game has quite a bit of side stuff to do. Making money doesn't seem to be an issue; two big money makers are buying "elastic" goods for cheap at the Stock Redist, then selling it for the highest price on some other players ship. Another one is the Package/Delivery system.

"Alright gonna fix up my bases a bit then do my dailies". 6hours later "Oh fuck I have 20mins to do my dailies"

But eh at least 2 of my Valley bases look neat and are producing a ton of shit now. Gonna make some cryton or whatever in the 3rd so I can replace every zipline with automatic pathing ones then work on Wuling bases.

Not gonna lie without the base shit I most likely would have dropped the game pretty quickly, because there doesn't seem to be too much to do in the game. But since there is base shit and building and things to upgrades and what not, I haven't even really started grinding overworld chests or clear through my massive backlog of sidequests. Super easy to get distracted for a few hours just trying to optimize layout for batteries to power up all the other stuff, then figure you're now at a deficit in metal so it's time to colonize more lands and appropriate ressources for the good of everyone(mostly me).

Yeah I thought I had a great purple battery farm going, woke up and everything is screwed up haha. Was at 2.5kwh now sub 500 and nothing's working on my fully upgraded factory. Need to fix it somehow but I'm struggling to find my issue.

This is a really good gacha game to me, got to Wuling and the graphics/scenery step up is massive.

In case some might want to use other peoples blueprints, here are a set from reddit that all work nicely for Pre-Wuling stuff:

For my bases, I've decided to just concentrate on Power, Money and Gear. I have enough of the Purple Components to make a set of Purple gear for 12 characters, so I've stopped with that. Power atm is done due to HC Batteries. So that leaves Money. All bases are making something that will be sold to those bases, like Meds & Batteries. The bulk of the money I make each day comes from Elastic Goods and Pack & Deliveries, which I then usually spend upgrading a base, a depot node or those Owl delivery spots (it seems the cost for upgrading the Owl things gets lower as you develop the area). Anything else I'd make is "when needed", like explosives.

I have Wuling unlocked, but haven't went there yet due to wanting to get side-quests / bases finished before heading over, since that area should be nearly as big as Valley 4.
