Pretty sure they remade this in the 90s as a direct to HBO movie - Daryl Hannah played the giant. All I remember from that movie is she tries to entice her husband with sex ideas and he responds with “wtf am I supposed to do? Put on a scuba suit?”, then at the end she joins the other giant women on the flying saucer after the army knocks her into some power lines and their husbands are basically pets

You dipshit actually arguing over Naked Gun remake? Semantics man, its a Naked Gun movie, following same formula as Naked Gun, and instead of Leslie Nielson it is some other dude. Remake or Part 7 is doesn't really matter.

It's a bizarre argument to make though. None of the original people are involved (all the actors are dead and I dunno what the writers and producers status is), and the movie literally shares the name of the first movie.

It's a soft reboot at best. It's most definitely not a sequel, or it'd be named Naked Gun 44 and a Quarter or something retarded.

And considering multiple sources say it's a sequel including the fucking director and anyone who saw knows it's a sequel. " Soft reboot" or not,still a sequel.
