if having sex and then immediately eating your partner is good enough for insects, it's good enough for me.

It's funny how much of the Furious movies revenue is overseas. And also how damn popular those movies are

Well they're not watching it for the dialogue, so it doesn't matter what the hell the actors or dubs are saying.

Titanic's gross is insanely impressive considering the time it released.

Not sure if we ever see a movie truly perform that well again.

It's impressive but it still didn't have to compete with cell phones, streaming, and just the general massive increase of film/TV quality like films do now. It was also during a time when the January and March months almost never had a marquee tentpole film, which has certainly changed since 1997.

Low 60s this weekend for no drop. Looks like it is going to get 2 billion after all, most likely.

This is true, peak blockbuster time.

A list of estimated "ticket sales". I'm still shocked Avatar 2 might do $2 billion, haven't had a soul in-person mention wanting to see it at all.

What’s next. Heterosexuality? Most filthy animals practice it too 😂

Your point is then simply "there is no such thing as sexual ethics"

I disagree! Sexual ethics are the most capable of changing societal outcomes than any other human practice.

If this movie is so popular where are the memes?
This is a damned good point.

There is no impact on social media from this movie, not that I can see anyways.

I would suggest that it's some form of money laundering scheme but film production being used for such purposes is too outlandish.

My point is that trying to create fallacious associations of:

"Homosexuality exists among animal species X"
"But also rape exists among animal species X"

Is no more logical then creating a similar fallacious association of:

"Rape exists among animal species X"
"Heterosexuality exists among animal species X".

It's not even a question of sexual ethics but basic failure of logic and kindergarden-level intelligence of people who mention "bad thing" in order to tarnish "that other thing I don't like" by some fictional association.
