Disney is not in the business of making stuff for grumpy old men.
I disagree to a point but it's just my opinion, eh;

The most popular kids movies are that popular because at least one parent shared in the enjoyment of that movie. My kids got into the Marvel movies because I was into them and that meant we were into them together. They could ask me about what certain things were about and I could go on about how this dude was gonna do this and the heroes were gonna have to do that and it was really cool and will be really in the theatre and they got excited. Disney, and a lot of others, are forgetting the audience that has to drive their target audience to the theatre, possibly pay for their ticket, and sometimes even sit in the theatre with that targeted audience member. That isn't to say there aren't franchises that found an audience in spite of parental involvement but the majority were shared between child and parent.

It also doesn't help that they keep making movies that are not fun to watch. Crazy how that is a priority in our Super Hero movies but hey, we're grumpy old men. I sure as fuck am.

Nice preview.

The only reason I will watch this when it hits streaming is the same reason most people are going to watch this movie. The last 30 seconds of that preview. The only interesting part was thinking on how Captain America comes back to work with Thor. Those two characters are the foundation of why this movie will make some money. Leave them out, and this movie would not make anywhere close to what it will.

Still more excited by a long shot for Dune 3.

So the FF are from a different universe, as is Tony stark where he got super butthuty and got big mad to become doom, what about capt? Is he just “back” because he had enough time at the onsens in japan and wants to fight again or is he from a different universe as well?

How is a “strong of pure will” juiced up human going to help again? How did iron man get super powers because brad mad?

Eh nevermind, not ganna watch it.

Our timeline / sacred timeline - Earth-616

Deadpool / X-Men / Logan death - Earth 10005, decayed in 2029 after Logan died, restored by a variant Logan in 2024 causing the events in Logan to not occur (seen in this film at Xaviers school prior seen ending of Deadpool & Wolverine)

Fantastic 4 - Earth-828 (rumored to be where Doom is from)

Toby Spiderman - Earth-96283 (rumored to be in this film)

The leak may or may not be BS (I am guessing BS), but the threat presumably is the destruction of the multiverse because Doom wants to make his ideal one as the sole universe

dont think ive seen a movie in theaters since... the last Spider-Man movie? whichever one came out more recently between that and Top Gun Maverick. will prob go see it unless the early reviews are absolutely blasting it. which of course any kind of access media won't, can't cut off access to the Mouse's tit.

My only fear is that they attempt to accomplish too much in one film. I know they have to get the MCU back on the rails but think about how much story and character development that happened leading up to Endgame. Now, that all should carryover somewhat to this movie but again, my fear is they attempt to fix what they feel is broken, bridge the other universes, and try to take steps forward with the MCU.....that's some lofty goals.

I'm here for it, if it works but I worry for their sake because they have really done some great things.

huh i felt nothing, it was cool seeing all those characters i guess but it felt like a south park member-berries joke. worked great in End Game, a bit less in last Strange movie, and I think deadpool 3 kinda buried it for me.

i hope doomsday is good but zero interest or faith in the movie right now, especially since the trailer is doing nothing about Doom himself. I guess it makes more sense to tease all the heroes you'll see again for normies but that is doing nothing for me.

It's hard to take Thor's monologue seriously.

This threat is scarier than anything you've ever faced? Really?

Why, exactly?

Cyclops, Prof X/Magneto in their last movie together, and Cap at the very end is enough for me to go watch it. I don't think it is going to be even half the movie that Endgame was, but as long as it is as entertaining as a Spider Man movie than I am in.

Best I might do is rent it when it's half-price (so $10 or so), if that option is available on Amazon or Disney+ or whatever. I don't think I'd want to go to a theater for this, I'm pretty over the "theater experience" in the 2020's. Much rather watch on my 75" at home on my recliner with my sound system, and not have to listen to American Inventors yelling at every little thing with the same 2-3 words over and over, smelly people next to me, etc. Gross.

The real question is if they will actually have Steve Rogers in a comic accurate Nomad costume.
