Yep, the positive side of multuverses is you can get nostalgia bumps whenever you want by bringing back character x. The much, much larger downside is that you remove all stakes because there are an ininite number of replacement characters from universes identical to yours other than some guy bought a blue hat instead of a black hat in 1968.

Marvel realized this almost instantly, retconning in multiple contradictory limitations - The TVA pruning all but their desired timeline, Loki gathering a smaller subset of timelines that were allowed to exist, incursions reducing the number, Deadpool 3's nonsensical anchor beings, etc.

So if there isn't one single timeline by the time Secret Wars wraps, the MCU won't be fixable.

So, I have very mixed opinions on the multiverse shit. It’s hard to get right. Comics has rarely gotten it right, if ever. But simply having a general theme of shit unraveling due to the infinity stones being destroyed or the snap or even due to Spiderman doing his shit with strange would have been an easy fucking layup of a setup. Let’s not forget that most of the non-avengers movies were mediocre, even if comic accurate and entertaining time wasters. They had the fucking blueprint. They made the fucking blueprint. But they sniffed their own farts and we got the M She U devoid of any coherent argument or plot. Fuck. Maybe they’re geniuses after all….

who even knew this faggot was nightcrawler?

I gotta agree with Homsar. He's a big part of why X2 is good and his absence hinders an already bad movie in X3.

Does he explain in the interview that his experience was so terrible because Bryan Singer was a boy hungry pedophile and Alan didn't want to be within 1000 miles of that shit putting himself at odds with the director and his booty bustin' parties?

Didn't know this about Bryan Singer, the fuck is wrong with people. Reading about all the shit alleged about him.

Well he did direct the only good X-Men movies (X-Men, X-2, and Days of Future Past) and if Apocalypse hadn't been so shitty they probably would have kept him around despite the child raping.

While Bryan's allegations have stayed allegations he is friends with actual convicted pedophiles such as Hollywood producer Brian Peck. It's not a great look when some of your friends go down for a bit of the same kind of stuff you've been accused of.

While I'm sure someone else could have played Nightcrawler in the intro where he doesn't really speak or act (being under mind control), the character is responsible for one of the single best movie intros in history. While I loved the intro to Deadpool & Wolverine with the dancing number, X2 intro was super badass and not simply funny. That said, I did like Cumming's performance as the character too, during his quiet scene with Storm in the church for instance.

Regarding Bryan Singer and Alan Cumming :

"Alan Cumming had a miserable experience filming X2: X-Men United due to a toxic, high-stress working environment under director Bryan Singer, combined with a grueling physical makeup process. Cumming described the set as "dangerous" and "abusive," stating that the studio ignored actor complaints and expected them to endure it just because the film made money.

In his memoir Baggage: Tales from a Fully Packed Life, Cumming detailed how he and major co-stars (including Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, and Patrick Stewart) confronted Singer over erratic behavior and painkiller abuse on set. When the cast tried to address the issues, Singer dismissively told them they were lucky to work with him. This prompted Halle Berry to famously snap back and tell him he could "kiss my black ass" before walking off. Cumming noted the experience left him and his co-stars "bonded in trauma".

Transforming into Nightcrawler required a punishing daily session of roughly five hours to apply full-body blue paint, prosthetic ears, a tail, and scar-like body tattoos. The heavy application, combined with hot set conditions and restrictive contact lenses that impaired his vision, left him physically drained and led him to avoid big studio blockbusters for years afterward."
