Backpack hero

Fantastic Roguelite is in Early access now.

Previously talked about it while on indiegogo/kickstarter, i the indie thread. there is an itch.io demo, and steam one as well.
If you had gotten via the crowdfund, you should have a key already, and had been able to play all the constant updates. the itch.io demo is quite out of date at this point.
(im not sure where the steam demo version is at)

an example of a more recent build and gameplay. note each character has major changes to backpack management. Robots pipedream is unique to them.

This is 1.0 now. release.

Still really enjoy this.
although I will say, the town and story mode probably was mostly a mistake. I think this is a good example of making promises in a kickstarter, and actual manifestation of the promise/goal not being up to snuff. the freeplacement of buildings adds nothing. the art isn't as good as the rest of the game. the gating/unlocking of items doesn't add much. some of its... "ok". but mostly its just grind for grinds sake.


quickplay is FAR more enjoyable. basic runs,, as well as the various challenges.
