I watched a summary when they first went into beta ~2 months ago, nothing world destroying but they all seemed usable. The giant barbarian might even fit right in to existing throwing builds.

Yeah reading several builds with Shadow Blade are uber strong (and rogue builds with Booming Blade).
Also reading a lot of positive stuff about Arcane Archers.

I'm considering a new run, shadow monk is probably great. Eventually. The most gold I ever had in a run andd every vendor was just wait for a respawn picked clean lol. Even if you failed and they aggrod you could get away.

Did the act 2 big boss last night. Pretty easy for us. Almost downed my dude when the skeleton popped out of the middle and knocked me down. But I survived. Benefit of being a sword bard with 100 attacks was my wife's owl bear just decimated the main boss while I picked off 3-6 of the little mobs every turn solo. Her owl bear destroyed that thing.

I think every character does have it, which we utilized. Gale went on some cliff the mobs couldn't reach

Started a bladesinging wizard. Not bad. I'm duo him and a shadowheart and he tanked and killed Dror Ragzilin and so far 2 out of 3 bosses in the goblin camp, only Gut left because I called it a day. The bladesinging climax you spend points you build up on has a heal component to it that's AOE around the shit you attack. Not bad and I have minimal gear. I did get the head band from the Ogre to respec with 17 int from the band and spent the rest on dex and wis. Shadow blade is neat, any time summon till long rest a short sword that's better than anything I've found and I'm dual wielding short swords, one summoned and one regular one.
Edit - word of caution. If you play swarmcaller, I tried it for a few. If you throw a healing pot to revive someone the healing pot will revive them. The swarmcaller will proc when you throw something and bam. Revive and kill in one action lol. You have the option to not accept it and I wasn't sure what it would do. Now I know. Good thing that was not a honor test.

TIL the Duegar are incredibly dumb. Nere fight down to one scrying eye, push it into lava and the fucking Duegar follow it and swing at it over and over doing no damage till they die. Woo hooo.
Edit - even worse the eye couldn't get out of the lava but wouldn't die but the Duegar had it blocked from getting out so I had to kill them to get to it and then well, it sucked.

Do you have it memorized more than 1 time in the spell book? I get the DnD4e and DnD5e rules confused sometimes, but I think 5e Clerics still need to mem the spell for every time you want to cast it. So if you have five spell_level_1 slots, you need to fill those slots with Create Water, if you want to cast it 5 times.

Can't do that in BG3. You memorize it once, but you can up-cast to higher level slots. Regardless, never noticed this before and I've used it plenty of times to set up for cold or lightning attacks.
