I am going to try a "challenge" run for myself: an all cleric party.

Interestingly, I had both Claude and Grok research come to the same party-optimized domain composition: war, light, life, and knowledge. Going with honour mode rules but not single-save.

You should do all monks and make them as Oriental as possible.

Don’t bother with life.

Light, Tempest, War, Death. EZ Mode.

Right, I was thinking Death or Tempest would definitely be in there. Not that I totally trust what either model spat out, but might be interesting because I've never ran a light or knowledge cleric. Will give it a go.

I'll second, third or whatever that light cleric is very strong. I didn't mess with it at all till my current build. Doing a radiance build and a good portion of the equipment you can get pretty soon. I figured it was kind of a meme build but whatever.

Yeah, running with a duergar war priest, tempest, light, and knowledge as controller/buffs/heals. Steamrolling everything so far. Also running the extra enemies + mini bosses mod.

Yes light is great. Playing as light Tav and Laezel as EK in a duo. Learned something new. If you misclick on something (not sure what) going down through the counting house (and fail a presuasian check you have +9 on) you not only aggro the entire bank but some of them run out the back door and bring in guys on the dock. Just spirit guardianed where the door from upstairs and outside came together and Laezel whack them when they got in the light.Always something new.

I will try to avoid it in the future, I thought my honour was gone for a few. I lost concentration once but Laezel took almost no damage and just stood in the guardians.

Anyone gone total mind flayer and how did it work out? I might do it on a non honor mode run just to see what ending you get.

Bam! Published my first BG3 mod:

Something that has always annoyed me is how the Disguise Self illusions always look the same. I initially wanted to create a mod that could truly randomize individual illusion features at runtime, but this proved impossible. The game relies on fixed templates that cannot be dynamically modified.

As an alternative, I searched through the vanilla assets and identified a variety of suitable player-like models that work with the Disguise Self spell. The result comes very close to what I originally wanted to achieve.

Yeah I made a dark elf once and took the standard character without changing it. Out of habit I ran shadowheart in dark elf disguise to goblin camp to get the waypoint and experience to lvl 3 just going there. We were twins lol.

I tried the Fade! loot mod which has loot for each class that you get randomly along the way. It is well done, with stats and descriptions. However it was every party member was in full stuff with good stats including cloaks and rings etc...by level 3. Oh well turned that off.

I saw a streamer using it. Looked good at the end. Each class had their shit and some randomness to what you got. But was like I'm level 3 ready to take on everything, at once now. Someobody put a lot of work into it with all the class stuff, descriptions and such but nah. Even on hardcore two two characters it definetly needed down tuning. And a lot of extra difficulty mods just add HP. You either will lose or spend as lot of time in each encounter, no thanks. Normally I go no mods now I know what stuff to keep I don't need storage mules.
