It's decent - it's like arkanoid meets tower defense meets vampire survivors. It's pretty hard, though. I keep getting overwhelmed by trash because the balls fuck off and don't return sometimes - the ghost/pass-through stuff seems like a trap

Dark Ball is really strong. Grab it whenever you can because you are correct. Balls getting trapped up top means you die.

Played the shit out of it on steam deck over the past couple weeks while on fall break. Great game, really opens up when you unlock having two characters at once. There’s some fun combos. Fusing vampire with anything (Flicker is great for it) that hits the entire screen makes you very hard to kill, can take a shitload of damage if you need to because you heal so fast. Unlocked NG+ and have been going through and trying to complete each character’s wins across all levels now.

Great game. On NG+. All buildings are complete, just upgrading the stat ones. Not found all combines yet, but so far, some combines are just so much better than others. On the fungal level for instance, try combining the radiation laser with maggot. The boss spawns, then the timer on the right turns into red showing it's HP. It came down, became a psychedelic light show of green lasers and it was down to one or two mobs before the HP bar had finished showing. It basically lost life faster than the HP bar reveal.

My tactician is still low level though. Guess you could add him with the AI companion and alt tab out.

Got to the sand level. So far I haven't really figured out how to play the Mummy very well. He's prone to getting you killed if you get your early weak balls trapped in the back. The Sheriff, Monk, and Warrior are okay.

It generally does not pay to get too greedy with fusions.

Sometimes it pays very well. This was not one of those times, I definitely cost myself the map trying to force this fusion on a build not set up to exploit its potential.

Am I the only one who clicked on the thread and maybe thought this game was going to be some sort of or horror survival simulator where you play a kid at like a Chuck e cheese, but somehow you go into the ball pit and are teleported through a doorway to hell during some kid's birthday party?

Oh man, flicker + overgrowth is a fun combo I hadn’t tried until today. Vines damaging the whole screen constantly, lotta damage.

When I actually saw the game, it was completely different than the game I thought it would be

I posted in the other thread about this and really like it but have zero time right now. Turning off all the BS effects like CRT, Occlusion or whatever else really helped in my opinion. Just unnecessary crap.

yeah. I figured it had to be a thing.. but, yeah. I don't think Ive gotten more then 2 at once.. maybe you need the upgrades for more gold to reroll, or ban some, to increase the odds.
