preloaded open beta on steam, xbox, and PS5 Pro so we'll see which system I find the most joy on. if i have fun this weekend i'll probably preorder the fag deluxe edition

also 30 mins of watching a twitch stream starting aug 7th will give you an early access key (play aug 7th). everyone can play starting aug 9th anyways and also next weekend. i just snagged a random drop from a twitch streamer so i'll be able to play starting aug 7th, its an ea.com key so any platform will work once you redeem a key

Popular Twitch steamer, Bruhskey, took to social media to show off the game's average performance. Running at 1440p, they were able to get over 300 FPS on a setup consisting of an AMD Ryzen 9800X3D CPU and an RTX 5080 GPU — both attractive top-end components. Upon this foundation was 32GB of 6400MT/s DDR5 memory running in a 1:1 ratio, which explains the excellent 6.7-8.5 total system latency the streamer was able to achieve. The game is still under embargo so they couldn't say much, like whether any upscaling was used to hit those numbers, but in general ~300 FPS in a modern blockbuster title remains impressive.

In the same thread, Bruhskey mentioned that their friend rocking an Intel Core i9 14900K, and the same RTX 5080 GPU, were short about 110 FPS compared to the 9800X3D, signaling that the extra L3 cache in the AMD CPU was being utilized very well by the game engine.

I'd be surprised if a CPU would make that much of a FPS difference since I highly doubt the game is CPU limited.

You say that but they are retarded and you get used to their speed and reaction times and just go on a killing spree then a real person shows up and shits on you because you weren't prepared.

It was a major issue in 2042 because you went back to the lobby after evwry round and put into an empty one the next round. It would fill up at the end and rinse repeat the process.

It made the first 30 mins of a 45 min match boring as shit.

Any idiot streaming it should work.

I got in and played for a bit. Something felt off. Kinda floaty. Might need to play with the settings later.
