Got the game running on my PS5. I have to say after 10 minutes of play, the game is very well polished. Not sure if there's aim assist but the aiming on here is much better than what I remember with a controller.

I'm downloading the high res texture packs but anyways - glad I bought the game. Seems like it will be fun.

If you want to experiment with guns, Casual Breakthrough populates the game with players and bots, though the bots can be better than players sometimes. When I was practicing sniping and I'd take a shot at a bot, they'd immediately zero in on me and a handful of them would start shooting at 100-200m out lol. I'm like "wtf??".

For regular play, I'm not a big fan of CQB maps, so I set the custom filter for conquest/escalation to Blackwell Fields, Operation Firestorm, & Eastwood. Some maps are straight cancer though like Liberation Peak and Sobek City. I really wish the maps were bigger though.

If you decide you like to play Engineer, I would make sure to upgrade the grenade launcher for your vehicles up to a machine gun. Players pretty much bail out of your vehicle if you have a grenade launcher due to lack of range and rate of fire.

Also, if you can unlock it, replacing your knife with a demolition hammer is great. You can use it on any class to knock over walls, bushes, or even buildings.

Wanted to say too, you can unlock XP boosters for your career & hardware (gun & tanks)with challenges. Save them for casual breakthrough bot maps if you want to make the most out of it unless you're able to run through players in non-bot games.

Other than that, Hell Let Loose is amazing right now and highly encourage you to check it out. Also the vietnam version in a few months.

FPS as a genre is pretty cooked. Sure, there's fun to be had for 2 weeks or so but that's about it. It takes around that long for most hacks to start getting prevalent and by that point, it's an arms race that cheaters always win.

The Finals is my go to atm, because it's light enough to play casually and drop in and out of going at it hardcore depending on my mode.
Pretty much only playing new mode, which is battlefield's rush, so scratches the team based fps I prefer

FPS games are forever fucked in this regard.

You’ve already got DMA cheats (cheats running on an external PC) that are nigh impossible to detect.

But the coming cheats are gonna be external AI. Second pc, hooked up as a mouse / keyboard, looking at the video output, either assisting you to varying levels or outright playing for you like a human, purposely making mistakes, etc.

It’s 100 percent coming and going to be nearly impossible to stop.

Eventually AAA will bring back private servers and active admins will thrive if they vigilante with hackers.

HLL will be testing conquest mode soon, that will really make for an enjoyable experience if they allow any faction combo/weapons on a map rather than being historic to a T. Regardless it'll be a better game mode for me personally.
