Bumping an old thread. Anyone tried Bafang motors on a bike? Thinking of getting a 750w kit with battery for my bike. The legal bikes in Sweden is only 250w so that's not an option.

Using the bike 5 mins a day for commuting to work and quite a lot more during the summer. My issue is we have such cold winters and wondering if they will hold up being stored outdoors (battery will be taken inside after every bike ride)

Another year, another Mid-South in the books. Honestly, think I'm done racing this thing. The organizers, who I'm certain are only doing this due to insecurities about being in mostly flat Oklahoma, always, without fail throw in about 10-20 miles of literal goat track (so muddy and unkept that even 4x4 jeeps get stuck, regularly) that just destroys any good vibes. Turns the race from something moderately difficult, to something almost impossible to finish except the most fit professional endurance athletes. Anyways, here are pics - I got 60 miles in, at about 6:25 of total time. For reference, I was at 31.6 miles in 1:45. The rest was spent walking and hike-a-biking through literal peanut butter Oklahoma red clay/dirt. The whole thing just destroys your bikes (rear derailleur broke in the mud, again), and your body.

Turns out I'm more of a European bike rider - coffee and pastries.

I'm in the market for a foldable fat tire e-bike to throw in my truck camper when we head into the mountains, just for farting around and ranging out.

Any suggestions?

Just bought an Orbea Rise H15 this weekend. I’ll take some pics of my own some day soon. Got it with this color scheme.

Love it so far — very mild assistance. This isn’t an ebike that does a lot for you without you putting in effort also. It has a detuned Shimano motor where the battery will last way longer than any ride I’m gonna do. About 42 pounds.
