This was pretty good, very similar to Ozark. Every episode you can feel things are just going to get worse and worse for them due to compounding poor decision making.

My opinion of course.

The story was average, villains were predictable. Bateman saves the show, he is Emmy worthy here.

Worth an initial watch.

I don't know how people enjoy these types of shows. I just get anxiety watching characters whose entire purpose seems to be that they continually make horrible decisions that ruin the lives of everyone around them.

I've only watched the first two so far, but it's rough. I mean, everything about the show seems good so far, but it's like a black hole of misery.

My only complaint so far is these episodes are so. fucking. long. Why are these episodes basically full length movies from 30 years ago? I'll have watched for 25 minutes and go to pause it and it's still got close to an hour left. I'm too old for this shit.

I know what you mean, it was definitely a stressful show to watch. It's interesting to get such strong feelings from a show and that is part the hook for me.
It is arguably a negative feeling but in a shallow way because it's just a TV show.

Watched a couple episodes because I will watch anything with Bateman. Not drawn to a single character in the show, whenever sonething bad happens to someone, I shrug and couldnt care less. Maximum Netflix. The "hot chick" of the show looks like the love child of Rosie Perez and Patrick Ewing but I'm supposed to believe she's the most brilliant restaunteur NY has ever seen, lol. Jude Law's American accent sounds like abad impression of McNulty from The Wire. The blonde girl that I'm supposed to feel sympathetic for that did some bad coke and got date raped or something? Ya she is covered in gross ugly tattoos and I couldn't care less. Bateman's daughter who is probably also headed to be victimized by the evil white guys?...also covered in ugly tats. I was hoping for Ozark, NY Edition, but is just a bunch of unlikable characters with derivative stories. Peak 2025 that's for sure.

I watched this on THE INTERWEB and unfortunately it was all shuffled so I watched Episode 6 instead of Episode 1. I thought they were telling the story backward from a big event which actually kind of worked. Then when I got to episode 6 I saw what happened. Fucking shit ass privateer sites.

Show was a filler show. Very few, if any, likeable characters. Everything just gets worse all the time. By the time it was over I just thought, "yeah, okay." Would absolutely not recommend it to anyone who wasn't DESPERATE for a way to burn 6 hours or so. Bateman was Bateman (and good). Jude Law was weird. That Junior made me physically violent any time I had to see/hear him. Just a show trying to make everything difficult for no reason other than be the anti- Ted Lasso I guess. Weird.

I would like to figure out if Mancuso was Vince or Jake's father. I'd imagine more likely he was Jake's as Jake was the younger brother, but he seemed to like Vince more and allude to him being his son.
