Thought there were vids out debunking UVH levels increasing drops (including a post from Gearbox themselves). Unless its changed I think only the rate at which you get extra licences on the weapons changed with most people farming on easy and no UVH levels. Either that or even Gearbox doesnt know how the drop systems work which wouldn't be surprising.
IDK thats jsut what AI told me. Prolly from some reddit post, lol.

I wish they would revert all the performance tweaks they did with that patch because the game runs like ass now.
It's the shader cache still refreshing when you first start the game after the patch. Apparently you can clear the cache after you update to prevent the stuttering or let the game run for a few minutes to get everything updated and it will smooth out.

I can't remember where I saw it but there was speculation that it just increased the quantity and/or quality of the firmware drops? I think that's where the idea of lower levels was better since it's faster and easier to farm for Legos if there's no apparent increase in drop chance.

There is also another cheese I saw a streamer I was watching find. He had a sticky AR/SMG with an underbarrel, I think it was the electric zap beam underbarrel? But I dont think it matters. So when youre fighting a boss empty your sticky clip 90% at the boss, of course. When gun is almost empty, then switch to underbarrrel and then switch back to sticky, you dont even need to fire the underbarrel, it deletes the boss. Like all 2-3 HP bars gone instantly. Something broken about those stickys and the interaction with an underbarrel. He literally stopped using it because he said it was too unethical, lol.

Ive been searching for one but cant find one yet. I dont think many people know about this one yet. So torque sticky as the main ammo, and any underbarrel like flamethrower or zap beam, maybe even zip rockets?
I've seen the bug work with the Taser, don't even need to hit the mob, just switch to Taser before needing to reload and fire it. That triggers the insane dmg to proc from the stickies.

Saw a vid where a player(s) tested this on Splashzone at all the difficulty levels and their results saw Easy having the best drop rate, while there was no difference in the quality of loot between Easy and UVHM5. Their testing was killing Splashzone 100 times at each setting, with the exception one setting where they did 300 kills.

Clearing shader cache and/or increasing the size to 100gb did indeed fix the stuttering/constant compiling I was seeing. Back to being buttery smooth.

Then whats the use of having 5 different UVH modes to level up into. There HAS to be a difference in drops. Maybe not in lego drop rates, I can see those being a set % drop rate, but definitely in the quality of the purps youre seeing. The AI told me there is an increase of about 2% in lego drop rates the higher in tier you go.

Chat GPT just told me that while the stats on loot do not change, In UVH3-UVH5 has exclusives like firmware weapons (Im assuming grenade slot) and mythic class mods and the quantity of loot is more.

🔑 Key Takeaways
• Gear Stats: Same across UVH1–UVH5. A Hot Slugger in UVH1 = same stats in UVH5.
• Loot Volume & Rarity: Each rank increases the chance of rare/legendary drops, plus more Eridium and cash.
• Exclusives: UVH3–UVH5 introduce items you cannot get in lower tiers (Firmware, mythic mods, cosmetics).
• Efficiency: Farming UVH5 is the most time-efficient way to target bosses for exclusives.

📚 Sources: Maxroll’s Ultimate Vault Hunter Guide [1], Mobalytics UVH unlock guide [2], and Steam community confirmations [3].

Bottom Line
• Yes, people tested it.
• Stats don’t change between UVH1–UVH5.
• Drop rates, loot volume, and exclusive availability do.
So when someone says “loot is the same,” they’re only half right — the numbers on the gun are the same, but the odds of getting it (and rolling rare parts) are much better in UVH5.

IDK, i tend to believe this explanation. So when youre farming for a legendary, sure, do it in a lower tier. But when you want some rare ass purple with rare rolls, do it in UVH5. In my personal experience I get what seems like way more firmware and way more tripe and even quad licensed guns which are all the crazy fun shit.

I have no clue lol. Wouldn't that be something dataminers could figure out? I haven't experienced the end game drops yet since I'm still working my way through the story. Lvl 38 in the third zone.
