Yeah, 3 was the end for me too. The games deteriorated over time, and this will have to be HIGHLY recommended to move the needle.By now I couldn't care less about Borderlands, Borderlands 3 is basically the game that ended my desire to keep consuming these games. I mean it played well enough but the story and characters were cringe more often than not and honestly these games have seemingly only changed for the worse over the years, with the latest entries feeling like they really have nothing desirable to offer over the first few.
It's sorta like how I feel about Assassins Creed, I really enjoyed the concept with the first game when it felt new and fresh, and think it arguably peaked with the second game, but it's only gone downhill since and they are still cranking out new entries that I simply couldn't care less about. By now playing later entries just feels like getting sucked into a massive mediocre time sink and I have better games to play that I have more fun with.
It's all very "seen it, played it, over it."
I'm sure it'll be good for a playthrough. 3 was the best gameplay wise, it just had a super shitty villains and none of the characters were fun or interesting enough to warrant going through it all more than once
I assume you mean to sail the seven seas for?
Pre-sequel was garbage; 3 was a forgetable slogfest; 4 the team straight up came out and said, "We are doing this DEI thing!" (paraphrased) like no one knew...
From 2 onwards they experimented with Micro-Trans bullshit in all their games that only made the systems worse.
I get liking the concept of borderlands, it's a GREAT concept but you are selling yourself down the river if you consider their latest offerings anything but below average or terrible.
Hopefully the bumped up release won't result in a buggy and unfinished product.
