If anybody remembers the game, "World in Conflict", this appears to be a spiritual successor. I fucking LOVED World in Conflict and played the living shit out of it circa 2007, 2008ish.

Damn, I thought this might be based on the John Travolta movie. :emoji_slight_frown:

This releases on 6/19. Played the multiplayer beta a year ago and had a blast. Best RTS I've played since Company of Heroes. Super excited to shred some aircraft with Tunguskas.

Naming a game after a John Woo movie and have it be unrelated should be a fucking crime
I mean, it does have nukes..

Game is fun as fuck. I'm still pretty shitty (400 ELO) while I figure out my decks and all the different counters/mechanics, but it's easily the best RTS released in the past decade+. Only thing I wish the UI would do is show you enemy weapon ranges when holding ALT, not just their vision lines.

They are supposedly going to put in mid-mission saves and tweak the UI. The Worth A Buy guy might be right, in that this needs another 3 to 6 months. Still, he said he really likes the game, but no saves on a 1-2 hour mission is just too much.

I would never fucking buy this for the single-player. In fact, I'd never buy an RTS period for the single player/campaign.

That said, I do think the game would be a better "buy" if it's priced around $40 or so. There are definitely a few minor issues they need to work out and those are annoying enough that it's probably not a true $50 or $60 dollar game. That said, they were pretty quick about adding a 1v1 skirmish mode so you can practice with new decks and such. Just don't expect it to be balanced, because the game and maps are designed around 5v5. The maps are fucking MASSIVE for a 1v1.

Warcraft 3+expansion, C&C Red Alert and Dawn of War(1 and 2) had great single player campaigns. SC was also pretty decent as far as I remember. Not that common though and pretty much all old games now.

Yeah, I don't play RTS multiplayer (or any multiplayer these days), outside of the magical Warcraft 3 custom maps era and Starcraft 1 co-op over LAN. I've never found the ridiculous unit spam shit fun when I bothered to learn it, even when I didn't have a country ass retarded ping internet connection.
